- Leo, from Mythic Games, moderates a battle from the recently shipped Mythic Battles: Pantheon - Poseidon Expansion, between Az and Justin.
In case you missed it Mythic Battles: Pantheon is a miniatures boardgame where the old gods of ancient Olympus are fighting to become the new leader of the pantheon.
Taking to the tempestuous seas Az must sail out with his army of brave mortals and fight Justin's oceanic horrors.

Tht was beyond epic, the best yet. So tense and thematic and some great tactical decisions on both sides. Was so close and all through the game felt it could go either way which is amazing. The battle was so awesome but our god Leos evil chuckling throughout was the high light for me lol BRILLIANT :) BEST GAME EVER
This water board looks like so much fun.
At 01:01:50 a critical mistake was made that could have ended the battle in favour of Achilles. The boat rams the space with Achilles and Polyphemos looking to attack Achilles first but instead attacks Polyphemos first when he realises that he cannot roll dice against himself. Then both units get thrown one space, the correct way would have been to let Justin make the attack against Achilles first deciding if he should get thrown and where, then attack Polyphemos getting the mighty throw and placing him in another space freeing Achilles to enter the boat and make his attack. Easy mistake to make during a rookie game, what makes it a little bitter is that he wanted to attack Achilles first but the opponent tells him he cant so tells him to attack Polyphemos first instead. Oh well, great playthrough anyway.
According to the rules, The Attacker choose the order in which the attacks are resolved against the units.
Łukasz Gajda yes and the attacker wanted to attack Achilles first, which would have been the right play (tactically) but the defender tells him he cannot roll dice against his own units so roll against Polyphemos first and he did and it was disastrous. Since he threw Polyphemos away the defender only had to throw Achilles to the same area. If Polyphemos had been attacked last, then any throw against him would have made sure that Achilles had been free of Polyphemos 'Block' letting Achilles enter the boat and make an attack.
So pumped to try this scenario out!

The critical mistake in this game is that the Players don't know what end of their ship models is the front. The Ram.. the pointy out bit.. is the bow of a Greek ship. If they just knew this, it would of been a whole different game.
Throwing Achilles off the back of the boat seems a bit broken. I thought you could only throw one space. So, throwing him would have thrown him onto the back of the boat not off the back of the boat as that would be 2 spaces. Unless the boats are considered a single space.
Jared Quintana they say mutiple times that the boats are one space even tho they take up two spaces. Thus it is possible to throw a unit off the back the boat from the front side of the boat.
Has Charybdis Groundswell power changed ? It initially stated that Charybdis' activation ends after.
Where do you get all the terrain for the run throughs you’ve done with this game?
