The unskippable intro takes forever. Just let me start and play. Also, the sound when land from jump, and the width of the character being very misrepresented when walking off the side of a ladder to jump compared to earlier entries. It make sense, but needing both feet on a platform not to fall of is weird when megaman has such a wide base.
@@fehmeh6292, it’s an SNES game. It’s trying to show off the upgrades from the NES. Also, this game took only 3 months to make (Shorter than Mega Man 3), so they couldn’t get the exact physics for a wide hit box. But the overall experience is amazing. It’s okay if you don’t like it, but I always found this game very fun.

The amount of nostalgia here is so crazy. I remember renting this game from blockbuster on Fridays after school got out and would play this all weekend.
Same. I used to do the same exact thing over the weekends back in the 90's. Megaman 7, and the Megaman X games were the best.

This was my very first Megaman game I ever beat as a kid. One night, was super close to beating it, but then we got a tornado watch and... the power went out. I think I was in Wily Tower 2. I was a kid and didn't really get I had to write down the password 😅
Id be so excited trying a new megaman game (for me at the time) that week too! I replayed the shit out of 'em till I had to take it back, with constant late fees lol. Good times!
The rental place I went to eventually sold and got rid of all their product with this game and the X's included for somewhere around $100 for all of them,, but I wasnt able to convince my father why they were so valuable at the time to spend that kind of money for a 10 year old. Ngl still salty!
The art of this game is amazingly well done. SNES art/graphics were so awesome back then and they still are!

That's actually in the game too. I don't remember the button combo, but if you haven't defeated Shade Man yet, and hold certain buttons on his intro screen it changes the song :)
this game is magnificent, the quality of the soundtrack and the art of the characters is simply the best

@@gerry72197 Spring man is susceptible to taking damage from the moment his health bar begins to fills up to start the fight, the sound crush hit him when he only had 1 or so health and wasn't done charging up, instantly killing him.

Simply put the cursor on Shade Man's portrait, then hold B and press Start. However, that only works during the first runthrough of the stage and/or if you haven't beaten Shade Man yet.
@@SuperGoku14 in the megaman anniversary collection for ps2 is diferent, you need to press square and Cross instead of only pressing cross and start
@@SuperGoku14 In other words, the Super Nintendo version requires holding onto the B button and then selecting Shade Man whereas the other versions (Anniversary Collection and Legacy Collection 2) require holding onto whatever button is the shoot button and then selecting Shade Man.
@@FlashaniMan247 In the Gamecube version, it's still the "B" button regardless. In the SNES version and most others, it's whichever button is mapped to the jump button.

Yeah, except it didn't even happen in the Japanese version. It was added in the international release to make Mega Man edgier.

After this many times, where Mega has had to destroy hundreds of robots, one slip of fatigued morality can be understood.
This was also the point that I was convinced that Megaman's core programming was evolving to become the consciousness that would eventually inhabit Megaman X.
