Smooth-On Mold Star 16 Fast is an easy-to-use platinum silicone rubber that is mixed 1A:1B by volume, with no need for a weighing scale.
Ideal for casting wax, gypsum, resins, concrete, and other materials, Mold Star 16 Fast has a relatively low viscosity, a six-minute pot life, and a 30-minute cure time. It cures to a soft, strong rubber that is tear-resistant, long-lasting, and exhibits very low long-term shrinkage. Vacuum degassing is not required for most applications.
Cured molds are heat-resistant up to 450°F (232°C), suitable for casting low-temperature melt metal alloys.
