Lol Harry's face when hermione is explaining what dentists do,he's probably happy that he finally is the only one in that room that understands Something that hermione tells and nobody else does😂
Chayenne Oosterveld Too bad Ginny arrived late. She would have understood. Because in Chamber of Secrets, the Weasleys are shown to have a clock that shows where each family member is, and one of the locations listed is "dentist". As someone else in this comment section stated, maybe Arthur's interest in muggles has had him take his kids to the dentist every year.
That and some of the Slytherins were looking down at her for talking about the Muggle world.
Chayenne Oosterveld me everytime😂
There r probably like a few Muggle-Borns in that school who get it. I bet there's plenty of Half-Bloods who'd get it as well
If Harry has ever been to a dentist... the dursleys...
Blaise was just sitting there..........judging everyone..........
naRutoxxxhiNata303 i just noticed him sitting there..never noticed that before
wanaartplus 1230 I didn't notice until I read the book
That's part of his character. He's so arrogant that he even looks down on other pureblood Slytherins.
SnowyWolborg Lol, I know. I read the books. They did mention that he wasn't really great friends with anyone. It was as if he thought himself too good for that.
He doesn't respect Malfoy all that much, actually. Blaise believes he is better than everyone so he is mostly silently judging people instead of making friends.
Only Harry gets Hermione when she talks about dentists and stitches hahaha
L. Akopyan Which brings up a bigger question: Are there *any* dentists in the wizarding world?? I mean they gotta take care of their teeth somehow.
L. Akopyan '
Magic... like how they used to just magic away their feces after they pooped anywhere. Just magic away any problems with teeth.
Anti-plaque potion, tooth straightening charm, you should be set to go.
I am pretty sure there is a wizard equivalent.
"one boy bit my father"
i love how harry is the only one whos gets it and everyone else is like "what the fuck is with the muggles"
Harry raised his eyebrows like "What is it with Muggle kids and the freaking dentist?!"
chase1146
look at Zabini in 00:59 he has facial expression "Dafuq did she mean by that?"
its very amusing to see the wizarding view of muggles such as rons dads job is to work with muggles he once asked harry genuinly what a rubber duck is for lol i cant help but wandere how rons dad came across that and got curious enough to wanna know
The face slughorn made was like "That's not dangerous?"
Before he asked Harry that question, he mentioned he had conducted 9 raids that night, my guess is one of the raids involved the misuse of a rubber duck.
Blaise did not say a singe thing and yet the fandom goes "umm yep that's Blaise Zabini. that's 6'3 feet of Slytherin royalty right there"
How can we not!?
In fact at the beginning of the film, in the scene where they are on the train heading to Howgarts, in the Slytherin camerin, Draco referred to him as Blaise.
he’s a fucking goddess

Hermione is talking about her parents working as a dentist and the faces on everybody are like this 😒😒😒😒😒😐😐😐 while harry face is like this 😊😊😊😊😊😊 lmaoo
edith Isolina did you see the thing harry did with his eye brows
+edith Isolina Because Harry understands what a Dentist is, nobody else does so therefore he's kind of like i'll explain it if you need me to.
+Kelsey Springer i thought he smiled cause of slughorn's question "is it considered a dangerous profession?" like the idea of someones looking and fixing someone else's teeth must seem out of the world to them. especially when they use magic just to fix their crooked teeth (i think herminone used a spell in the 4th movie before the ball)
There's a British teeth joke in there somewhere
edith Isolina I dont imagine those wizards/witches even knew what dentists were lol
At the end Cormac is staring at Hermione like she's a juicy piece of steak.

Hermione is like: right ok, blink and eat profiteroles
+iOnlySignIn Lol yes
+Matthew Flais that's clever 😂
The entire cinema was actually losing it at that moment. Licking his fingers with that intense stare was priceless.

I love how Blaise is just judging Marcus with his whole mind and soul
which one
@@bartekdabrowski4007 Blaise is the boy sitting to the right of Marcus
The one with dark skin.
When hermione's telling them what her parents do, I absolutley love how Harry's looking around the table like "i dare you to say something about it." And he's just kinda like a protective big bro or something along those lines.
I doubt that really
yea doesnt seem like that at all lmaoo
Fmuh i saw it as a jokingly like "what the fuck is a dentist? Right guys?" Like even though he knows he just wants to get a kick out of everyones confusion or something😂
I feel the same. I saw a pinterest post on this
Fmuh That comment reminded me of a time in 5th grade where I presented something in front of class and nobody liked it so my best friend literally screamed "come on people clap for her!!" And everybody clapped😂 I was so embarrassed but I rewarded my best friend for that😂
Harry stood because it's old fashion etiquette. A gentleman stands when a lady arrives at a table or leaves the table.
Fascinating 😃
And even more when the person stepping in is your crush😂😂I can understand how much nervous that feels. It's not his fault that he stood up🤣
Oh! OK, I was always confused what he was doing
Is sad that you even felt the need to explain that.
Thank you Potter
Blaise looks so annoyed by all of them ..
He's lyk "I'm a pureblood and y'all are unworthy and beneath me"
Rainy Woex And he's obviously hot, sassy, and stoical Pureblood I guess...
He was looking at Marcus like..."Please eat like a fucking human, thanks."
blaise looks down on everyone, even draco😭
I would look at them that way too but not because of a god complex but because
1) the boy next to him ate like a pig
2) the awkwardness in that room was unreal
3) slughorn made weird faces and bad jokes
1:25 SLUGHORN'S LAUGH KILLED ME
LMAO
"PTHFhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..!" Love it.
MartinGrozny IMO this is the most "human" of the Harry Potter movies. For once the script takes its time and treats the characters as they are - teenagers and adults with ranging hormones and quirky nuances. It treats them as humans first before treating them as witches and wizards. It's why awkward scenes like Slughorn's are effective. Coz there's so much you can relate to in your life.
Michael Otis
Hmmm the main thing that made HP6 movie so bad as an adaptation (as a movie, it's great) IS the focus on the ridiculous romances
Frname Yeaaa I agree this is the film that took the most liberties and as a result wasn't as faithful. My personal issue being how little they showed of Tom Riddle's past - which for me was what made this book unique. But I guess the filmmakers felt Riddle's past was already explored in Chamber of Secrets.
I feel the awkwardness and ridiculous interactions aren't wasted.
First coz these witches and wizards have known each other for almost 6 years and are starting to feel like adults, coping with complex emotions and it's interesting to see that play out naturally (I felt Rowling in her book focused too much on magic and not as much on human moments).
Secondly one of the main themes in HBP book was the muggle-wizarding world slowly merging. This is translated into the movie by actually treating these people as humans first before wizards and witches. It shows these magical people are really no different from Muggles.
Thirdly this is Harry's last year at Hogwarts. This movie had to add more humanity to the characters in order to prepare for the grittiness and war in DH pt 1 & 2. So that when things get serious and characters die, it actually matters.
ROFL! Slughorn isn't evil but you can see why he's in Slytherin. What with his collection of students with potential. Cunning bastard.
its either students with potential or students who have the family background. belbys uncle and cormacs uncle are obviously guys with lots of connections
I am gonna say it now. Ironically in comparison to their reputation and general disdain, Slytherin out of all the houses have the best traits and behavior to abide by. Cunning, ambitious and capable. Not bad behavior to endeavor. Ambition - do well in life. They're driven and don't take shit or mess around. Strategic and are not dumb. They'll use their brain before they act.
Ambition tends to make you more enemies then friends.
Also makes you rich as shit, look at the Malfoys as an example
Diego DyanGuhong no
“Is that considered a dangerous profession?” and Cormac's face
the actor who portrayed slughorn did a great job. his facial expressions are priceless

It's so sad that the actor who played Marcus Belby passed away before the movie was even released.
MsJournalist91 He didn't deserve his fate.
@Angela s He sacrificed his life to save his little brother, just like what Harry potters mum did for Harry. Even though his character was in Ravenclaw, in real life he was a true Gryffindor.
His name was Robert Knox.
He died WAY to young, he was 18 when he was killed
@@sbjoha barely even lived
They "glutonous" boy, Marcus Belby, was played by a boy named Robert Knox. He unfortunatly was murdered in 2008. The music just makes it even more awkward 😂😂

Blaise Zabini is clearly not having a good time😂
Slughorn's laugh is so epic
They just chose the best actor possible for Slughorn's character. Only Jim could be so funny, adorable, cute and loveable as Slughorn. I remember him from the book - he wasn't so nice there. There were moments where I did not like him. Glad in movies he is a whole different character.

It is 😂 It's just awkward AFTER he stands up because everyone is like "tf you standing up for?" It adds humor too. Love that scene
Lana Golightly it's all three. I'm literally screaming with cringe.
It is so awkward but also adorable and chivalrous. It's funny because people all know why he's standing (gentlemen stand for a lady) but since it's not a common practice no one did it and so he did alone. I think it was amazing. I agree, very adorable.
You're right. I stopped screaming after I finished the video. That was a month ago.

THAT was the point!! Teenagers trying to get a grip over their hormones and impulses IS awkward
Thaddeus Cornell that's what makes it sooooooooooo good
Tommy Hass the Harry Potter franchise while great usually focuses on the magic and mystery while rarely displaying true human moments. I think the 6th movie did a great job in emphasizing the fact that these are still teenagers coping with feelings beyond their magical control...

It's funny how Slughorn knows Ginny's last name aah 'miss Weasley '
But calls Ron Wallenby and Wenby, even though he clearly knows they're related.
lol
Its because Slughorn remembers you if are talented and/or well connected. Ron (at least in the movie) isn't a particularly exceptional wizard. He's not talented enough for Slughorn to take note.
Also, in the books, Ginny impressed Slughorn whilst on the Hogwarts Express at the start of term when he witnessed her Bat Bogey Hex. He subsequently invited her to take tea with him in his compartment, alongside several other students.
It’d be funny if he DID call Ginny Wallenby.
@@maccaman1997Or Ginny walks in.

I just realized Hermione purposely referred to Ginny, to try to get a reaction out of Harry. To confirm whether Harry had feeling for Ginny.

It's these awkward moments of honesty and vulnerability that makes me revisit this 6th film the most. We get caught up with this magical world of wizarding duels and quidditch that we often forget Harry and his colleagues are growing teenagers with impulses they can't understand and control. This IMO was the movie that touched on that aspect
Everyone can relate to these moments at some points in their lives!
Michael Otis Completely agree. The book also slows down too and is mainly just finding out about the half blood prince and going thru memories about Voldemort. So it was a good opportunity for them to explore these kind of topics, especially with how they went further with Draco. I truly appreciate this film and think it's the most unique of them all. And it's beautifully put together. Even the somber like filter gives it an entire different mood than the other films.
Yeah people are like calling these scenes cringe and awkward they are like forgetting that Harry and his mates weren't some 30 year old, they were 16 years old teens and teen hormones are like this when they cope with their crushes or love interests. This movie showed all these but yes Ginny and Harry scenes could've been lot better like books. But I love the movies scenes as well, how much people call this awkward or cringe, nobody can deny that we all passed through such awkward moments in our teens and these scenes gave me the realistic feeling. I found them cute. Thanks for your comment I thought I was the only one who found them good
And then it all comes crashing down
Why was Ginny part of the slug club anyways ? Haha I don’t remember
Having become an adult and revisiting the saga, I felt identified with many of the comedic scenes from Goblet of Fire and Half Blood Prince which seem to understand how teenagers are, better than many other tv shows or movies where the kids are played by 30 year olds.
I love how the Carrow twins are silent during the whole thing. Just idly sitting there watching the teen drama.
Those aren't the Carrows
@@ellebell9139 There named Flora and Hestia Carrow, so yes they are.
@@zalamander9243 They are not mentioned anywhere in the books. Nor by name in the movies. They are just fill-in movie characters as far as I am concerned, they are not "The Carrows" who are a specific duo literally mentioned by name in the books and films.
One of the more tragic deaths to hit the HP family came when Robert Knox was stabbed to death outside a bar in London in 2008 after trying to protect his brother from a fight that had broken out. Knox was only 18 when he died and never got to see the scenes he filmed for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. He played Marcus Belby in the film, a Ravenclaw one year older than Harry who was a fellow member of Horace Slughorn’s Slug Club. The cast of Prince wore white ribbons at the film’s premiere to pay tribute to their slain friend, and twelve years after Knox’s death, a documentary was made to commemorate his life and raise awareness about knife crime.
