That's the best relatively to scale Droideka I've seen yet! Very impressive. It's really too bad LEGO hasn't come up with an accurate design that's also durable. The original Droideka design is still the best but far from the most accurate. Every one since has been pretty bad imo. Using the lipstick piece was a brilliant idea. I might have to try out this design for myself!

Yeah, reddish brown and dark red make the pieces very weak for some reason

To accomplish the ray shield on the Droidekas, use the LEGO Jurassic world Gyrosphere 'glass' piece, if it is able to fit.

The dwarf spider droid is what Darpa wishes DOG was.
I have my own custom droideka that I like better. It’s more accurate and smaller and rolled up in a ball. It also fits in a Jurassic world guyrosphere . But I like all the other builds a lot
I might actually buy these the instructions are cheap and I have several of the harder to find parts

3:11 That cracked cheese slope makes me sad. :( Apparently this is an increasingly common issue with brown pieces? Makes me wonder if this is related to the "Gold Plastic Syndrome" that affects many older Transformers figures.
