IDF Chief Cantor Sings "Unetanneh Tokef"

- This video clip, which was produced especially for the Jewish High Holidays, shows the IDF chief cantor and IDF soldiers singing the prayer "Unetanneh Tokef" in the Great Synagogue in Tel Aviv.
The video features footage of the Yom Kippur War and one of its heroes, Brig. Gen. (res.) Avigdor Kahalani, who was a battalion commander in the Armored Brigade, fought in the battle of the Valley of Tears and was awarded a Medal of Valor.

This is a beautiful rendition of a core prayer for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.
The voice of this cantor is magnificent. Certainly very uplifting. This is great singing and the choir and orchestra that accompanied made this clip into a real gem.
to those who do not know who is the man with the white shirt and black kipa that is appearing in this video , this is - avigdor kahalani , a brave combat soldier with a very unique story , that is very famous in the israeli society stories and combat culture ,

The Yom Kippur war was a very frightening moment for Israel, attacked on five different fronts. It says so much about the Israel IDF that they were eventually to win, through with terrible loss of life, 2790, for such a tiny country

Folks when I was younger, I lived in Israel. When they controlled the Sinai, and I was able to visit the Holy Mountain. We got to the top and the feeling that came upon. Scared the hell out of me, meaning I was young and never really understood all of the hype. Well that damn sure taught me a lesson, we also had a squad of the IDF watching over us.
