Thanks. In another test by Auto Motor und Sport the AMG is 0,1 seconds faster to 200 km/h and 2 seconds faster to 280 km/h, so I'd say they are very close.

Here are the GPS measured acceleration times directly out of the magazine in 0-100/200 order (0-300 times are not stated in the magazine):
BMW M5: 3,3/10,9 sec
Mercedes AMG E63 S: 3,5/11,1 sec
Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid: 3,4/11,5 sec
Cadillac CTS-V: 4,3/13,2 sec
Vehicle virgins tested his e63S and did 0 to 100 in 2.7-2.8 seconds but the same can be said about other german cars they do not say the whole truth.

That new m5 is just a monster in every way. The cadi seems slow in comparison but is very very close to stock f10 m5 0 to 200. The others are just insanely fast and are not having to deal with traction issues.

Confirms what i saw on the other video, the M5 does slow down with speed. But i didn't expect the Turbo S, which is an Hybrid, to catch it too ! Not sure what's causing this. Too bad for the Caddy though, would be interesting to see a rolling race to make it shine.
The Truth you do realize that the M5 was faster up to ± 270km/h, when the E63 S caught up ? That's why i'm pointing out that the car is "slowing down", because before those high speed its acceleration rate is clearly better. If i can acknowledge that the E63 S is faster at higher speed, surely you can acknowledge that the M5 is faster at lower speeds ? That makes sense after all since the M5 is lighter while the E63 S is more powerful. So chill

Just a quick update, they posted their measurements in their magazine and the M5 was indeed quicker from 0-40km/h, 0-100km/h, 0-160km/h and 0-200km/h as well as 80-120km/h and 80-160km/h than all the other cars. They did not post data for acceleration over 200km/h. Additionally, the M5 had the best laptime (on Hockenheim) and was the fastest on the slalom, plus it had the shortest braking distane on the 100-0km/h. All of that mind you on Pirelli P Zeros, while all the other cars were on Michelin (the E63 S on PS4S', the Panamera on its specific set of Pilot Sport 4 "N0" and the CTS-V on PSS).
Interestingly enough, the Cadillac CTS-V actually came second overall in their test, the E63 S third and the Panamera last.

The m5 has 100nm less torque than the rest of the field but still beats them to 250. Incredible car

That's not the V sport, it's just called a CTS-V. THAT'S IT. The V sport is the CT6 V sport with a 4.2 liter twin turbo engine
The e63s and the M5 are soo close! The Porsche is a bit slower and the caddy is the slowest but it misses 2wd compare with the others

They are so fast, but please cadillac cts v wasn't in track mode or even sport mode, because the dial change to white color in those mode. So it didn't have launch control and the shifts where slower.

As much i know when the caddy is on track mode it has this green light as in the video but i think the tires spinning too much because rwd or didn't use launch control but i was thinking the same that cts v should be faster actually hmm🤔

Should be about 35 seconds to 300true speed (not indicated speed) for the e63 and 37 seconds for the M5
E63s and M5 are identical until ~250 then the E63s starts pulling.

Kushi son until, accoridng to you, 270 they are literally identical, stop the video anytime you want and you will see an advantage of 1-2 kph, sometimes on the E63 and sometimes on the M5.

The M5 has 100 nm less than the Amg and the other cars, so for this specs its accelerating very fast and in front of all others till 270 km/h. If the M5 has the same power like the amg, the M5 will reach 300 km/h at first.

The CTS-V may be the slowest to accelerate but it's the only one here that can actually hit 200mph/322kph.
I don't know which drive mode it was in the video but i think the cts v didn't use the launch control as i can see and even tho it is rwd and the others awd so there is a little difference in the acceleration in the start.. But cts v was then almost the same with the others

People need to understand that the difference between the E63S and "normal" E63 is not the same with the difference between the M5 and M5 CP.
The S AMG has slightly more power, drift mode and some other options that don't have to do with the performance of the car, but with luxury. On the other hand the M5 CP is more track focused than the M5, it has more power and some weight shaved from the body. Another point is the price which is the nearly the same for the M5 and E63 S. All in all this comparison is fair for both cars.

In many other test, drag races the e63s is faster that the m5 at lower speeds. We have to wait for gps data. In my opinion the e63 is faster.
Fake carwow hahaha that is good. They said that this gps test was on track with better grip and for amg they made a gps test on their track. When both m5 and e63s was compared in the same conditions, m5 couldn't keep up. Anyways it is said that m5 is pulling 690 hp not 600. Well that is an insult for bmw because it would mean that even with 690 hp can't keep up with 612 hp merc. Both are really nice whatsoever. But my choice is AMG. And I know that there is always a competition pack excuse but all those people have to know that AMG will propably upgrade E63 in about a year or something. Will we always be waiting for something? ;) they are bonkers.
The best way would be to put them on the slick tyres and run a drag race from 0 to 300... On this video amg hit 300 faster. They are fucking close and that is all about. Both are good.
What I have to say too. AMG e63 is more than a year older as the brandnew m5. We looking forward to the new e63. Whatever, every person has its own choice and thats good so.
Latvietis96 nope. In every test the cars were tested SEPERATLY in DIFFERENT CONDITIONS. Even carwow tested the m5 to be originally faster at 3.1 seconds in separate conditions. But when they tested both cars in the SAME CONDITIONS at the SAME TIME then the e63 won. So all those "wins" don't mean crap because they were done in DIFFERENT CONDITIONS SEPERATLY. What all these tests prove is that both cars are equally quick and the difference between them is incredibly tiny. Hence it ultimately comes more down to driver reaction time then it does the car.

0-300, den test den jeder braucht :D, warum nicht 180-250 oder 100-200? und warum kein bremstest 300-0? wenn es wichtig ist, dass man schnell auf 300 ist(vielleicht fürs cruisen auf der autobahn?) sollte es auch wichtig sein, wieviel meter bremsweg die kiste hat bei tempo hundert.
und ehrlich, bei der preisklasse wenn das wichtig sein sollte-könnt man ja mal kurz die durschnittswerte für nen chiptunning durchgeben(1000-5000 euro, was bei den preisen für auto lächerlich ist und den drehmoment/ps um bis zu 20% steigern kann...nebenbei der e63s stock wird bei 250/280? abgeriegelt? habt ihr da was mit dem gemacht? und was?^^)
