    Thank you!
    "If there's a will, there's a way."
    I started a few years ago with a push mowing lifted into the back of our SUV! Now we mowed over 200 lawns a week last year with (4) 60" z-turns (no walk-behinds, no push mowers, no small gates) and over $250,000 in revenue. To do that (and make money) you need to be super-efficient! ;-) Looking to do 300 lawns this year with $400,000 revenue. God bless!!!

    • @mattpahuta
      @mattpahuta Před 4 lety +9

      Half the revenue is for all your expenses and half can be paid to you. That's what we did last year. As revenue goes up your expenses can go up (like providing more benefits for your employees, buying land & buildings, etc.) It's all up to you! Exciting stuff!

  • @BigBadBoy19
    @BigBadBoy19 Před 5 lety +3

    I really like the setup, it looks to be very efficient and makes the most out of your space. I also really like your high tech security system with the combo locks. I see a lot of local guys with open trailers that don't put any sort of lock on any of their stuff. I see it with the closed trailers too, they'll open the door to get their mowers out and take off and go mow and not shut and lock the door. I would hate to see anyone's equipment get stolen or lost when that could be prevented with a lock that costs a few bucks and only takes five seconds to lock and unlock it. Another good idea is to put your fuel cans on the same side as the gas door on your vehicle so if you need to stop for fuel while hauling your trailer you don't have to carry them to the opposite side of the trailer over to the pump, then carry them back over while full. You could also throw a cooler on the back too. It would be better to have some cool drinks there and not need them than to need them and not have them. Thanks for this great video, it went into great detail as far as why you did what.

    I don't care if it takes me 2 mins to mow a small front lawn with a zero turn. We push mow every front lawn to minimize damage, as well as curb affect. I do like your idea about the weed eaters being on the right side because of traffic. $40 is a really great price. In my area near Pittsburgh, PA we charge $70 an hour. Great Job.

    I love this little setup. I'd set mine up just the same except I need at least a 6x10 trailer. My mower is a 60" diesel Kubota. Wide and heavy lol. I'm not in the lawn care service but i have my parents lawn and my lawn plus our business location i have to take care of weekly. This would beat the heck out of the heavy 7x16 tandem axle i pull now. Heck this thing is overkill for just the mower, one stihl weedeater and some occasional roundup lol. Good video.

      Black Hoodie Fitness well I applied to finance a badass gravely zero turn and trailer but it got declined 🤦🏽‍♂️ I don’t think I have enough credit history or been in business long enough. When you really consider taxes and insurance, etc, there’s not a ton of money to go around and my starting price is $40 per service for a tiny lawn. although I’m trying to save up. I started out folding a little $100 mower into my dads Dodge Charger, now I have a Chevy Silverado and a lot more equipment, hedgers, edgers, hand tools etc which is where my most money has gone. (I do landscaping as well so I have a ton of tools and equipment, wheel Barrows shovels tampers saws and multiple of each for helpers, etc) Next thing is the ZT and trailer tho

    • @blackhoodiefitness5862
      @blackhoodiefitness5862 Před 5 lety +1

      At least you are reinvesting your money into better equipment, i think if you keep going you will grow fast. Or charge a little more for lawns. 40 lawns a week should be great money

  • @JWNLawnCare
    @JWNLawnCare Před 5 lety +1

    Great little setup mate. Nice and simple. Best way to make money ;D Funny you mention the positioning of push mowers on your trailer, here in Australia we have a lot of mowing trailers that have a dedicated push mower box and side ramp at the front which is mounted on the drawbar to save that issue of needing to pull the pushy out of the way to get to your ride on in the back. Even on my 7x5 trailer I can still fit 2 push mowers in that front box if I really want to, though mostly it just has our Honda commercial 21" and BR700 backpack which both fit in there nicely. That leaves me the whole back 7x5 section to keep my 42" zero turn in, plus a couple of other trimmers, hedgers or anything else I want to throw in.

    Great setup man! Some major improvements w/your new walk-behind and nicely setup trailer. I just setup my 14 x 7 single axle last year, hauling a Walker GHS and push Honda, but still need to add a gearbox and screw down a couple 2 x 4 wheel chocks now that I've had a season to solidify the configuration. So how do you get away without any refuse hauling? I understand that down in FL you pretty much mulch everything and you don't have heavy spring cleanups, but you must have a need for refuse hauling at some point? Anyways, coming at ya from MT and like yer style!

    Love that trailer setup! That would be perfect for the "modular" hustle. I find I have one kind of "loadout" when I do mow days, and sometimes a different one for light-landscape; but that box and bed, would be easier to fill and clear, and it would take no-time. I ended up going with a 6x12 enclosed, but if I had it to do over again...I think I'd build a machine shed, and have an open setup, with curbside rack (like yours). A local guy that mows, is giving me a three-banger green touch rack, still new in box...so we'll see how that mounts in. I've been using mostly basic hardware, (hooks, crooks, and snugs) to organize with, up till now. The lowly milk crate, is one of God's finest, utility systems! :-)

    Great trailer set up. And great video over all. I totally agree with you on the sign. That’s what I always tell people. What’s the point of having their company name with big letters if people driving by can’t see what you do and phone number. I was planning on starting this year lawn mowing with my little 4x8 trailer but I might have to sell it and buy a 5x10.

    When you put down the spectracide and lay down the pine straw, will the dogs still dig there? Is the spectracide poisonous? My neighbor’s dog digs under my fence constantly. He makes muddy holes along the fence and the weeds take over those spots.

      The dogs don’t dig inside the wood area, they dig outside the wood making a mud pit then they play in it!

      @@DansVlog I run a 44in toro walk behind. I had a 5x8 trailer and it got stolen last summer... I got the PERFECT design for space...this video was very helpful. I'm looking for another 5x8 or maybe a 5x10...
