In this video, we discuss the Biblical Theology of Lutheran theologian Revere Franklin Weidner, whose work on the subject precedes that of Geerhardus Vos. - Zábava
Thanks for all you do for us CZcams Theologians!
Thanks for the shout out at 45:00, Jordan and Lisa. And yes, I am listening.
Well done. This is an ideal tool for teaching lay people about some complex issues. 👍👍👍
That was lovely, Jordan and Lisa. It was great to hear so many themes from your Geneva curriculum (long ago) in this podcast. Many thanks!
Thank you for the informative video. Lisa adds a lot to the discussion and asks many of the same questions that I would if I was present.
Thank you, both of you for sharing your insights.
Me: Yay! Some Old Testament theology and Weidner!
Also me: Oooo, Lisa's earrings are cute.
Can you make a video on how you take notes and how you study these ideas specifically with the Bible in mind? And then how do you take the information you’ve taken notes on or highlighted or whatever you do and then go and cross reference it with these other sources? Like do you take separate notes on these theological texts or do you combine them with the notes you’ve taken on bible passages ? I’m just trying to find an organizational pattern that works.
I would say I am on the reformed side of things but I love your ministry and videos. Very insightful and very helpful! This video is a great example of how you really help all bible believing Christians everywhere, thank you!
Thanks!
Can you recommend academic books addressing the documentary hypothesis.
Good to hear more of the history of Lutheran theology, especially as a European, because of the irony that confessional Lutheranism became a bulwark in the USA. In Europe it degenerated quickly.
Great job - where can we listen to Lisa's podcast as well? (hint hint)
I appreciate this, but I’m not looking to start a podcast anytime soon. I will, however, be interviewed later this week on the “Postmodern Realities” podcast (affiliated with the Christian Research Journal) about an article I published with them. You can tune in to that if you’d like!
Vaticancatholic.com for the truth
The first century molding of believing Jews and gentiles into one body was a huge task, something we take for granted today.
@@basedincali8707 that is a great verse and a great chapter; thank you so much for mentioning it.
lovely couple
Is there a Meredith Kline of Lutheranism anywhere?
You mean a Lutheran writer who puts multiple hyphens in each sentence they write?
I have nothing against Lisa, but I feel like the content is more to the point when your solo.
FIRST!!!
DL Moody was not a theologian, his pessimist dispinsationalism and belief that the world is a "sinking ship" have formed the modern fundamentalist/evangelical apathy towards christian involvement in their communities advancement.
Believe me, I have plenty to criticize about Moody.
@@Jonathan-si2nd I know, I'm just preaching to the choir!
@@DrJordanBCooper I understand, I hope you don't think I'm trying to correct you, just putting down my comments and preaching to the choir :-)
My last name is Weidner
