    I moved to the US several years ago and then realized quality of life is so low in the US, so I came back to La Paz, which is where I'm from lol

    • @TheTravelInsider

      Yes, a lot of people come to the US thinking it’s such a great life, but everything in the United States is so expensive you spend all your time working just to pay your living expenses. in La Paz, it was amazingly cheap to live there. I really like it. 🙏❤️

    Really nice video! We do have much larger supermarkets in La Paz, but they are not as close to your place as the one you showed. Nevertheless, I agree that they will never compare to the variety of products you find in the US or other countries. If you want to save some additional money, we also have farmers' markets and street markets scattered around the city.

      @TheTravelInsider  Před 4 měsíci

      I thought the weather was absolutely beautiful. It does take a little while to get used to the altitude difference from where I’m from in the US to the 12k foot altitude in La Paz!

    Is the living in the clouds long term healthy for people from lower altitudes? People do eventually acclimatize but the oxygen levels are a third lower than the ones at the sea level.

    • @TheTravelInsider
      @TheTravelInsider  Před 9 měsíci

      Yes, the air is definetly thinner and you'll notice it for sure! I had to stop several times walking in the historic area. Where I lived in San Miguel it wasn't as hilly so it didn't really bother me so much!

    • @TheTravelInsider
      @TheTravelInsider  Před 11 měsíci +2

      @@BoydJones My health is excellent and I get a physical about once a year so I've never really had any health issues. Some countries offer a national health plan if you're planning on being a resident. If not the medical treatment is so cheap in South America, so much so that I didn't really worry about it

    Can seniors get long term rentals so they can relax for a while?

I would like to take my Dad too but he's 78 yo and already with blood circulation problems so I don't know... How is your own experience related to the altitude and the lack of oxygene?
