Audio from the following Salty's Lighthouse episodes were used to create this:
5a "Salty, Come Lately"
6a "Count on Me"
6b "Knot so Nice"
11a "Last of the Red Hot C-Gulls"
15a "Sound Off"
15b "Treasure Hunt"
18a "The Big Birthday Splash"
20b "Bivalve Blues"
This episode is a fan edit of the original Tugs series. It is not official. This production was made purely for fun by fans for fans, with no intention to generate profit.
I like that you added the ending of Zorran meeting Burke and Blair- I mean Boffo and Socko and asking to being in the movie, only for them to reject him. I feel like it finished Zorran's little arc of trying to be an actor for the film unlike in the actual segment where we didn't see that happen and felt a little pointless.
Feels like something cut from Salty's Lighthouse for time since as seen here, the scene of Zorran getting quarentined would've worked well as him being rejected.
The pathetic "sEe if I cAare..." that trails off is peak
@@brightredmogul1912 The abrupt "No..." was brilliant.
@@brightredmogul1912yeah
The one Salty's Lighthouse recharacterization I like is the one for Burke and Blair into Mr. Boffo and Mr. Socko! The only thing missing are cigars in their mouths. Their exchange with Captain Star and between themselves scouting all of the other vessels in Bigg City never fails to make me laugh.
"We do mega hits."
"You mean, you're boxers?"
"Hmm, what about the submarine? Looks old enough."
"And remake 'Underwater World?' Never!"
Somehow, they are like an alternate version of Splatter and Dodge. And I would hands down love to see what Jurassic Harbor would be like as a movie!
I Like The Stories
I still think the idea of Burk and Blare being f**king movie producer tugs is ridiculous
I mean… movies are often shot on boats when about the sea so producers who are tugs would help authenticate the story.
Still weird but wouldn't be out of the picture for talking boats.
Somehow made Burk and Blare being movie producers work! Can't believed you managed to iron out the kinks, as much as you could anyway.
I'm blown away by these edits. Well done Mr Tug, *hats* of to you!
Tug is a magician
You mean boffo anc socko right? 🤣🤣
Anyone else think Zorran's SL voice makes him sound like Robotnik from Sonic SATAM? It didnt hit me until he said "BRRRRRRRAAAVVEEE?"
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks he sounds like Dr Robotnik.
He also got some Robbie Rotten vibes ngl
“Ten Cents fell for it! Sunshine is ours! I’ll have to give myself a PRRRROMOTION!”
He did voice Dr Wily in the Mega Man cartoon so you may be onto something
He sounds like Dinobot from Beast Wars crossed with Ocean Dub Piccolo, which makes sense because he's voiced by Scott McNeil.
I never thought Burke and Blair being movie producers could be so good, but you you did a great job making such a silly concept work well with the episode. And I kinda love the thought of those boat versions of 90's movies being made in the 1920's. Also, the ending with Zoran is hilarious.
He didn't have Captain Star say "The 1920s. Bigg City Port was the biggest harbour in the world." in the first episode. Implying that the time period is meant to be ambiguous.
@@pgj1997 True, but the backgrounds and imagery are very 1920's.
This might be the best example yet of using your edits to take something as dumb as movie producer tugs and make it into something meaningful for the episode. Richard Browning's voice talent really helps with getting the viewer to accept and roll with the absurdity of it.
Richard J. Browning as Captain Star is honestly the best casting choice he really brings that well seasoned captain telling stories to his successors about the days of old. Between the lighthouse edit and the english dub I can't wait to hear and see more.
I may actually prefer this version of Quarentine over the original episode lol
Great job Tug!
Hey dude, what‘ya think of these episodes edits of Tugs from Salty’s Lighthouse; awesome?!
6:21 I love that line delivery.
Props to Sunshine; Zorran *wished death upon Otis to Sunshine’s face* and she brushed it off like nothing major. Good 4 her.
That “hmmph” felt like she was holding back a really mean talking to. XD
That ending with Zorran was pretty great.
It’s Zorran actually
@@DC-qt8cb Whoops. The N-key must have gone deaf.
I unironically believe that this is not only the best episode of this nice interpretation of TUGS so far, but it's actually kinda better than Quarantine!
It's very funny (that ending bit with Zorran is a hilarious payoff to the earlier scene), the plot is a bit more focused, Captain Starr doesn't come across as a jerk at all - all around improvements!
On a side note, it's interesting to think that if this was how TUGS was made, it probably would've seen a few more seasons lol
It has it's own style seperate from Classic Thomas, but now has a way clearer grasp of the audience it's going for
2:47 One of the jokes from Salty's Lighthouse I like. Surprised you kept that.
5:02 Also one of my favorite jokes. I think the only time the writers did something like that. And I agree with them.
Imagine if Burke and Blair were pretending too be movie producers too get Captain Star too sell OJ to them so that he could be scraped, that would have been a better episode
This should've been what salty's lighthouse did. These edits are extremely clean if you get to the episode with little ditcher in it I would like to see him have that grouchy lady voice instead of the little girl voice
"And remake Underwaterworld?! Never!" Not gonna lie, I laughed.
I admit, I was a little bit worried about this one, considering the big changes that were made to Burke and Blair, or Boffo and Socco in this case. But, I gave it a chance and, while this still feels a bit more Salty's Lighthouse-esque than the other episodes so far, I still found this one enjoyable, especially the hilarious banter from Zorran.
I ended up enjoying this episode than I thought I was. I was expecting Blurke and Blair being movie producers to bother me, but it didn't. Very nice audio editing for the Zorran bit at the end!
Quarantine is easily one of those episodes that desperately need the 20 minute cut alongside with Jinxed, High Winds and Ghosts.
Quarantine mostly cause there’s a lot of content cut especially the deleted scene with Tophat and Warrior towing the torches Krakatoa post Munitions. High Winds cause there’s that cut scene with Warrior and Sally Seaplane. Jinxed as there’s so many shit cut specifically the Izzy Gomez crash. And Ghosts is because of the Big Mickey/Snatcher deleted scene.
Oh well hopefully one day we can see something close to it.
The fact that you could take a concept as stupid as Burke and Blair being movie producers and actually make it work is a testament to your writing and editing abilities. I'm blown away.
What was changed? All I note is Starr’s remark of movie making Tugboats being a thing (Which they are.)
Man tug it's a shame there's only 3 more episodes ,this has been almost as fun and endearing as the original show and honestly this high quality of a dub could have sold tugs to America, unfortunately just wasn't in the cards but this has been so much fun well done
Unless he takes other clips and combines them to alternate cuts, if possible
Thank you! And I know, it's gone by so fast! I've been enjoying reading all your comments as the new episodes come out
Ok, this is much different than the pandemic episode, and I have to say from watching and comparing TUGS and Lighthouse TUGS, I’m liking both, though the declawed, fang and gutting that is the Lighthouse saga will never surpass the original.
We still have three episodes left and I have some expectations for Ghosts and Bigg Freeze, especially episode 12 as I want to hear that beautiful and yet heart-wrenching swan song at the end.
Man tugs aged like fine wine
Salty's Lighthouse aged like milk
Having Burke and Blair rewritten from scrap dealers into film producers was one of the oddest choices for conceptualizing Salty's Lighthouse. Anyway, this is a fun little story. Kudos to you, Tug.
I mean, both are unscrupulous types of characters who'd do anything for a quick buck.
How in the Moonlight Oceans above did you manage to work in Otis the Movie Star into this?!
Why do I get the feeling Socko sounds like Peter Griffin from “Family Guy”?
I like Burke and Blair's voices. But all the changes to the story were very strange. Hope you have a fun wedding! I can't wait for your next video! Hope you have a great day!
This Is My Favorite Episodes
The Tug that kept saying babe
It’s probably movie producer talk for “dude” or “man.”
Even with this edit, I still don't know how I feel about Burke and Blair being movie producer tugs instead of their original scrap dealer selves. Just one of many TUGS character assassinations...
6:32 Tombliboo Unn's US dub voice, shared with Ten Cents and Thomas
ALL ENGINES STOP
When I heard that after my most recent rewatch of this video, I thought of All Engines Go, and that is exactly my reaction to it!
The Characters Look Good I Like Them
The only real kink in this is the 80s/90s movie references don’t really fit with the original 1920s/30s feel. But other than that you the idea of movie producer tugs surprisingly believable.
Maybe. Though perhaps they work in the sense that these are movies thought of before. At least as far as Jurassic Park being inspired by movies of yore involve strange new worlds. That and Beauty and the Beast did have film adaptation without sound.
Though what would boat versions of these movies even look like. Maybe with a lot of model work ironically.
If there’s anything I love more on this planet, it’s Thomas/Tugs and the world of cinema.
I like tugs
Although this was yet another completely butchered episode, I think what was achieved here was actually rather humorous. Burke and Blair calling people 'babe' was certainly something I was not expecting to hear in my life.
Cool
Good Job
Not bad
