    Great comparison! One thing I've learned, is that if a light is offered with either an SST40 or an XHP50.2, I will always pick the XHP50.2. The XHP50.2 has a much larger hot spot, brighter spill, especially on the lower settings, and doesn't heat up as quickly. And while the SST40 may have a bit more throw, it's not enough to out weigh its other weaknesses.
    About 2 months ago I purchased 2 Convoy S11's. One SST40 12-mode and one XHP50.2 4-mode. Both are 5000K tint. I need to run the SST40 at 10% to equal the XHP50.2 at .1% (referring to the spill). And running them both at 100%, the SST40 gets hot in half the time compared to the XHP50.2. Those are huge differences. I like both lights, but I definitely would recommend the XHP50. For me, it's beam pattern is far more useable indoors, and outside, the larger hot spot and brighter spill at all settings is welcome.
    Again, that was a really good comparison 👍

      @LumenVaultReviews  Před 3 lety +1

      You are correct. To be honest they both heat up fast. Its just we know the fact that those are just on turbo. And that a flood neam profile with good throw can be useful efficiently even in lower modes. Unlike those dot beams which is not good for walking unless you stay at turbo.
      And the sst40 really heats fast. Another good looking beam profile is the amutorch xt45 sbt90.2

      @@LumenVaultReviews I'm not into light sabre beams that offer very dim spill. Don't get me wrong, they have their uses for some where that type of beam is desired, just not me.
      I need to edit my earlier comment because I was referring to the spill when running on the lower settings. 10% on the SST40 is brighter than the XHP50 at .1% , but it needs to be set at 10% to match the spill brightness of the XHP50 at .1% because it has practically no spill at the .1 and 1% setting. I hope that explanation makes it clear.
      It's normal for a small led to have a smaller, tighter hot spot than a larger led. That's just the nature of the beast (and physics) lol

    • @LumenVaultReviews
      @LumenVaultReviews  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes your explanation is spot on. You hit the right term bro. That spill is important. And we have the same idea, we know that those light sabres have their own purpose. Its just that we prefer those beam that can be used in our daily general activities.
      This is one of the reasons too why the sofirn c8f got his prime when it was first released because of its good throw, "at that time that throw range for a wide beam is already far.", And wide beam. Now here comes this ft03 mini.
      One of my co reviewers mentioned the lumintop gt mini pro. I wonder how that will compare to this ft03 mini. Check that model out bro. Its has a good balanced beam too.

    As Ian said here, a fookin great review. This is your best up to now. All lights are chosen well, the sizecomparison, long and small tube are very helpful. That takes a lot of time, you have to fix the position of your hand.
    You are heading for a top position in reviewing flashlights. All fits, excellent beamshots, good music

      Thanks my friend. Yes. This probably is my best. I did my best effort too on this comparison. Took time thinking which lights should i compare. Then came up with the idea to compare all those frequently asked comparisons in every media platform.
      Im trying to make it like a 7 in one review the only highlight is the ft03 mini but they can actually look at it as a good review for those players too.
      Thank you!

      Did my best. Once I got the sst40 version, this xhp mini will surely be compared to that. For the meantime this review exposes how this mini flashlight version of the old one, can compete with other performing popular flashlights that exists.

    I want to know. Which bright with astrolux ft03? It's same or not? 🤔 Ft03 mini xhp50.2 with ft03 xhp50.2

    • @LumenVaultReviews
      @LumenVaultReviews  Před 3 lety +2

      You will know in the video bro. 🙂I made a comparison on them too. The bigger astrolux has ofcourse the advantage. The ft03 mini here is highlighted as a good small light as it can cope with the overall performance of those players in the review. A well balanced beam it has. And in my own perspective it can even overwhelm other models in the same category.

    • @BrightOnFlashlight
      @BrightOnFlashlight Před 3 lety +1

      @@LumenVaultReviews i mean with ec03. Cause you know ec03 have 3 led xhp50.2 right. Doesn't make sense if ec03 not really bright🤔

    • @LumenVaultReviews
      @LumenVaultReviews  Před 3 lety +3

      It makes sense actually. Because there is a difference between the terms lumens and candela. Lumens is how bright the total output the light is giving out, whether those beams are directed on a big area or angle. On the other hand candela is how bright the center spot of a flashlight beam is. That is the reason why there are lights with low lumens but can throw further. If you mean ec03 is not bright then you might be talking about candelas. Because candela rating decides how far a beam can reach. Regardless if its 100,000 lumens if the candela is not high still the center spot would probably look weaker than those 20,000 lumens thrower.
      The term ”bright" is subjective.
