In my roughly 10 years rugby experience, the players who are regularly starting unnecessary physical alterations are always the smaller ones

Rubbish. They all waste time. He pulls it out of nowhere. There has never been a good French ref. They are always controversial. They are nearly as bad as South African one
@@noway22573 Of course they all do it, the art is in being subtle enough that the ref doesn't call you for it. Having just been told to play immediately Foley was too obvious about it. In my opinion refs need to be this harsh with these little penalties so players don't think they can continue getting away with it
@@noway22573 During the time that Romain Poite, Jérôme Garcès, Mathieu Raynal and Pascal Gaüzère have refereed international matches, there has been no South African referee anywhere near as good as any of them, either in the WR rankings or in the minds of rugby fans.

George Gregan, another scrum half famous for yapping a lot, and trying to stir things up, is a completely different person off the pitch, docile to the point where you wonder if he has been administered large quantities of valium. Some people say that he is one of the world's most hen-pecked men.
Plenty of people lose their mind on the field/court/whatever but are the nicest folk outside of sport.

@@prof.dikwad5401 Schadenfreude dude. Raynal was trying to hurry up the Wobblies from the kick off. Watch the no commentary STAN coverage (eye in the sky) with just the ref's mic (as I did) and it was constant. Slowing the play at resets every single time. They went out intending to reduce playing time and got busted. Friggin' hilarious. But stay tuned, they'll probably do it again if Nic's in the side..
@@peterclark6290 Raynal was quite right to award the scrum. He asked the player twice to play, stopped time and explicitly told him to play as soon as time was on, the told him twice more. The law is that penalties are to be taken without delay, even kicks on goal the referee is watching to make sure the player is not wasting time. If international level players don't know the Laws of Rugby then international level referees are going to penalise them like they are schoolboy grade.
That may be nice for you, but I'm proud of his passion. Still, he's no Ritchie M'caw in the degree of shitfxxkery.

Kiwi fan here, I absolutely love Nic white he’s a breath of fresh air in the wallabies. He plays with passion and doesn’t give a shit about the all blacks aura like so many of his team mates. The wallabies need more players with his ticker. Who cares about the slap incident this bloke plays to win.

Aaron is an excellent player but it's meant to be really well known that number 9 is the hated player on the field. To the point their own team doesn't want their own number 9 hit by the opposition because if anyone deserves to hit the number nine, it's his own team.

Reminds me of a prick 9 dictating a game I played in.... I was set on him as a flanker on the scrum..... He was destroying us... So I set on em and tried smashing em from around the waist... As I had him in the air I turned into our proup and fell with the 9 on top of me.. Broke 2 of my ribs... He bounced off me and ran on to be a prick again.... A good 9 should annoy the opposing team. Fair play to him
