Making this event permanent would fix Master Duel
I don't even understand why they don't keep events as permanent and then just make event weeks where you are supposed to play that for gems and then play whatever format you want the rest of the time.

I think they should make this permanent BUT they have it slowly progress banlist by banlist so we get tons of new cards say on a weekly update with new limited cards and unlimited cards, that way it stays fresh but also they can reset this when they get close to a specific date (not sure which personally) but this would be interesting and fun to me
@BuckysKnifeFlip Tbf the event being limited time is what makes it hyped and special. Like casual mode, people just get bored of it eventually and just play chain burn or blackwing or six Sam's.If they find people love it they can just make it an annual thing

I was heart broken seeing him crafting all the URs for Fish OTK knowing that Colossal Armory doesn't work.
Armory checks the ATK in the graveyard. It never worked in the OCG and was one of the many judge fails where the TCG judges made up their own rules, even though OCG rulings existed that stated that it doesn't work this way.
It's funny how few decks would be heavily affected by Maxx "C" in a format like this. It'd mainly be Blackwings and Plant Synchro that get hit by it, while everything else gets maybe one draw to deal with a bunch of set backrow. And even Blackwings has some infamously useful Spell/Traps they known for using like Icarus Attack that they can just sit on in a pinch.
Well yea maxx C was not that much problem at that time, maybe until middle - late of xyz format.
Maxx "c" was not a real issue until decks like wind-up were consistently special summoning 5+ times per turn. And even then, that deck was quickly hit with wind-up carrier zenmaity banned to this day.

Technically correct. A better way to phrase it would be if you looked at the fast-effect timing chart and looked at Section B(Turn player can activate a fast effect) and added " can also activate ignition effects in the main phase"
not quite, if there's something like stumbling on the field you couldn't use ignition effects until open game state
I was hoping MD would do something like this with other past formats, while keeping today’s MR5 ruleset and current erratas for some different takes on those older formats.

Master Duel has mod for unnecessary format like single ED Type (synchro, Xyz, etc.). But they didn't give use the mode for 2004 & 2010. I think we need it more because "the draw in 1st turn". We as the player cannot imitate that, unless Konami give us access for that mode. Yes, you can skip your turn and pretending the 2nd turn as 1st. But if we can improve the user experience, why not?

Except with the way armory is now worded it should work. It was errata'd previously to specify atk in the graveyard but in the most recent printing they removed that line. So in this case it IS a bug and coded incorrectly. Probably an oversight since armory arm's text was changed exactly 2 months after master duel released and they never bothered to update it in the game.

Master Duel, and any official Yu-Gi-Oh game for that matter, works on OCG rulings
Armory Arm never worked in OCG like it did in TCG for the Colossal Fighter OTK
If anything, Master Duel should update the card texts to reflect their real in-game functionality, instead of lazily copypasting the TCG printed texts
i played king of armageddon ritual, very fun. herald of perfaction and the hand traps are also legal which is... a mistake

If they made retro formats permanent (even if it wasnt something I'd play a regionals/ycs), I would actually download Master Duel.

It definitely needs to be a guaranteed UR imo. But this event was fun based on it being old school. I had some fun duels in it.

And guaranteed UR? Konami is a business, not a charity; MD is supposed to make them money, why would they be handing out free URs? If anything, the fact that they're giving out free packs is already surprising.
