We all know the title is true!!!
There's an old story in South Korea where 2 birds are running a race. One is a Crow Tit (baepsae) and the other is a Stork. The stork has really long legs while the crow tit is a small bird with very short legs, so the crow tit has to run a lot harder to run the same distance. It's a reference to how older generations we're born with fewer limitations so they don't have to work as hard as the younger generations. The story is referenced in the dance with their legs a lot. They stretch them out to symbolize the storks, wobble on bent legs to imitate smaller birds and flap their hands like wings.

Ben, 5 years ago, BTS was on the streets of Los Angeles, begging to people to go see their free concert, 'cause no one knew who they were.
Their concert used to have less than 100 people.
They wasn't always famous as they are now.
This is why we love them so much. They grew famous by their own effort, despite everyone telling them to give up.
That's why everytime someone tells me something like "oh... kids these days love BTS" I feel relieved. This makes me hope for a better future.
Cause kids that love BTS tend to follow their exemples, and this boys are a good exemple to be followed.

ok... so 1) ë±ì (baepsae) means crown tit. the song is talking about how like the older generation is giving this generation a hard time. bts is talking about how because you are a baspsae, you try to follow behind but you fail. and the thing about the ânagging us work harderâ is that your parents are always telling you to work harder when you are already trying really hard.
2) the video is switched because a lot of fans like to learn the choreography but if you watch the normal version you would have to learn it mirrored so lots of fans flip to video to be mirrored so that itâs easy for everyone to learn it.
This is honestly my favorite song by BTS. Not only is it such a fun song to listen to, the lyrics themselves do something most pop music doesn't, actually mention things that matter. Western pop is almost exclusively love/exes, partying, alcohol and drugs, or all of the above. Let's summarize: Silverspoon: someone who was born with privileges due to the wealth/fame of their parents/family. So, to clarify at least a little bit. 'Baepsae' is a highly political song. It speaks about how older generations (baby-boomers) often criticize younger people (millenials) not working hard enough. The bird thing is from a Korean saying that is "A crow-tit (small Korean bird with short legs) following a stork is gonna break its legs." It means that trying to accomplish something out of your reach will likely fail. BTS criticizes the older generations and politics that young people don't have a chance to reach the same goals their (grand)parents achieved because the economic situation we live in is (obviously) very different. And if the younger people want to "change" something within the country the politicians want the rules to "maintain". I think if you read through the lyrics again it will make more sense.
