Keyless drills I have always used the trigger and hold the chuck till its tight, but I'm not sure about your drill if it locks, Once you tighten the drill in place, try to unscrew to release the bit, if it clicks it has a lock. Check this vid. czcams.com/users/shorts0I7Ru26Wi4c
Yeah ... I've heard about that. This cheap drill doesn't have this function (I thought I mentioned that in the video, but not 100% sure), but my other ones have this, but I've been following the discussion in the large video about that (with millions of views ...) and there the agreement was that the keyless chuck will automatically lock the drill. The additional counterclockwise lock is not needed actually ...
I've seen that technique in Adam Savage' video on drill bits and this is indeed eye-opening.
