"It is NOT more precise!"
I think what hes trying to say is that music is now just sounds and noises and vocals
Yeah, before it sounded like vocals and noises tbh. Now it sounds like noises and vocals
@@Robstrap am freakin oot btw
I think he's actually saying that music now is all shyte sounds, noises and vocals that haven't evolved whatsoever in the last 20 years.
no he's saying that u guys dont understand it lmao
Yes, its all the same. One thing I've noticed as a DJ, keeping up with new music for mobile discos is this.
Pretty much 6/10 songs in the charts are direct product placements. I noted 5 releases in one week, all of em talked about apple in the first 4 lines. Others are attempts of nu age christmas songs, mentioning amazon boxes etc, & none of them are able to take a slight risk because its all american corporate lead music which has to run in line with statistics during its creation. New chart music sucks. & I'd only play any of it, whilst the dancefloors empty & people are walking in, just to satisfy people who think I should be playing new music - because when the dancefloor is busy, any new music is playing, its gonna empty the dacefloor (unless its Lady gaga, during the same week of her release & no later, in 2010)
i’ve seen this happen in other peoples lives, now it’s happening in mine...
I think the guy in the red top might do the music
Gareth Hunt was in Pet shop boys always on my mind video. Part of It couldn't happen here 🙂
She was born in 1972! *NO WAY!*
Holy...
She actually was 16 in that video.
That's astonishing.
Best Thing Ever by Scritti Politi on Madonna Who's that Girl soundtrack, that beeds dug out x
Frog
Never knew you were a Smiths fan
It's true
4:20 Limmy is a Smiths fan?
Yeah but Erasure, go figure [Amerimouth]
Smiths still appeals to Limey’s limp wrist, but are a good band
Scritti Politti like Prince’s Chaka Chan’s I Feel For You
Kind of like Prince
I got Pigbag 🤔
Fuck!n Quality vid Limmy. Sir Big Laugh 😃 a luv ye 💙🩵
I never got that south park episode when i was 20 but now i do im 31 😂😂 shiiiiiite!
I agree with the caption of this video, but was it not kind of the same in the 80s when everybody was using synths and the same kind of drum machines? 🤔
Yeah but that was massively different compared to the 70s. 2012 to 2022 is basically the same.
@@NosyFella aye man I agree, alot of stuff is just remixes of tunes from they times. But I think music is still progressing in a good direction apart from most of the mainstream stuff out there. 💯
@@LukasOfTheLight we're talking about the sound of the music itself not the popularity of genres
@@LukasOfTheLight I've been around the last decade so I'm aware of the popular genres. There's nothing coming out now that would be shocking to people ten years ago in terms of a completely new sound based on innovations to musical instruments.
This makes sense because studies show the rate of innovation has declined over the last 10 years across the board. There are economic factors that explain all this. It's not a criticism of modern artists, society is just different now.
@@LukasOfTheLight ok the content is different but the instrumentation is broadly the same.
4:01 that's a Smiths lyric...doesn't he hate The Smiths / Morrissey? We all hate Morrissey, mind...even Smiths fans
No we all dont
I get what your saying limmy
It's funny he used Tradegy as an example, I can't stand that song and always thought it was massively overrated. That said I love some of the BeeGee's earlier stuff.
Music died in 2006, look at the Glastonbury acts nowadays!
The record industry don't dare take risks with more creative artists, there is little point. ytube (google) have a lot of official automatically generated channels now using AI to create music, more experimental than any current chart. I can't wait until AI starts creating movies
