Sammy, your main audience may be those young people that your friends were imagining themselves to be as they offered their advice, but know that us ancient types also love what you are doing (and loved their advice). Your songs strike deep chords, and your performances are beautiful. Watching you grow, and feeling your growing pains (and joys) continues to feed my heart, and I’m sure the hearts of all of us.
it genuinely is so so lovely to hear this, thank you - I’m so grateful that my music can be meaningful to so many!!

Trains and Moon Man are my favourites - they are amazing songs, and make me a bit emotional when I'm tipsy. I want more albums! Your songs are wonderful!
Elizabeth is one of my favourite songs in the album and of all time. Along with two other originals of yours (bliss and fools gold, really hope we get to see them on an album one day) definitely 10/10 and I can’t wait to see you do more stuff!

words aren't really enough to express how much I love this album. I love it because it's one of those albums that feel kind of timeless. it's nice because no matter how many times you listen to it you never get tired of it. I ended up making a playlist with just the songs, and having it be a bit of a ritual for me to put it on during my tests and exams. thank you for this masterpiece, it is truly amazing. and also - turtles all the way down is one of my all-time favorites.

By the way, you mention your audience being a certain age group, but please understand there are plenty of us "enthusiastic elders" who appreciate your music as well. (I already see a corroborating comment to this point above!) To me, and perhaps to other people my age, Growing Pains and much of your other music represent an awareness present in young people which I thought had been lost. In fact, I used to be rather pessimistic about the future of the human race, but a few young activists and artists such as yourself, have really restored my faith in your generation and the future. Your song writing and advocacy, including your fundraiser a few days ago, really show a compassionate connection to the human race. This compassion and connection is so nice to see in young people, especially with all the division today. As I appear to be rambling like people from my generation do sometimes, I'll wrap this up.
You're a powerful person who can change minds Sammy. I really hope to see you on the world stage.

Hey Sammy, I discovered you and your music right around the time you published Growing Pains. As many others, probably, I had spent the majority of 2020 sinking deep into depression without being aware of it so when the end of that year approached, I was feeling awful all the time and didn't know why. I was able to start recovery thanks to better therapy and meds. And then there was your music. I listened to your album while taking the walks that my therapist told me were so good for me. Every time I listen to the album again, I think of that moment when I was outside, letting your voice sink in, the sun shining on my face, and feeling happiness for the first time in a long long while and finally knowing what it feels like to be alive again. I don't know any other singer than can convey such specific things so strongly as you can with your voice, lyrics and melodies. Truly wonderful. I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.

Favorite songs are definitely Turtles All The Way Down, I never cease to be amazed at the craftsmanship of that song, and Moon Man. Moon Man to me just sounds so nostalgic? And hopeful and hopeless at the time time. Idk, it's just a lovely song I love it very much.

Growing Pains has become one of my favorite and most cherished albums. It's hard to pick a favorite track, but it would probably be "The Garden" or "Trains". I love the little details scattered throughout the songs, like the strike of a match in murder song. It is honestly inspiring to hear that you made the album on Audacity - my first attempt at an album was also recorded on Audacity!
Growing Pains is such a wonderful album - you can truly be proud! You've touched a lot of people with these songs over this past year Sammy. I'm positively affected by these songs almost every day as GP songs are sprinkled throughout my playlists. So a heartfelt and genuine THANK YOU 💕 to you Sammy!! Happy GP Day!

Love the song „Marsha“ from your album
My favourites are Moon Man and Ozymandias. I sometimes wake super early in the morning and if I can't sleep I go and sit outside my flat on a bench in this big open field nearby. Hearing Moon Man with a cold breeze in my face and a clear night sky is just wonderful and so soothing. And because I use CZcams music like a weirdo there's a "radio" feature where I can click "play radio" on Moon Man and I get a bunch of your songs.
In short, glad you exist. Positively jubilant, even.
You have over a 100 songs on your youtube channel, not all your own songs but a lot are realy great, i realy enjoy them. Congrats with your Growing Pains day and hopefully there will be more beautiful songs coming up on your channel. Good luck with the stuff your doing now.
