One of my favorite mics! Shhhh, don’t tell anyone.
Great for male vocals, dreadnaughts stand up bass, bassy amp cabs hell, anything bassy.
Pairs great with a KM 184 (or another bright mic).

I liked it a LOT. Thanks for watching. The tascam DR-10x is hands down my favorite piece of road gear as well

Hear you. I have a mixed impression on the DR-10x Seems like for YT content creators the DR-10l lav system is the clear answer. Then use a xlr to 3.5mm TRS (maybe a thread lock style if available) cord to convert the Dynamic Mic into the recorder. Any vids reviewing a SM58 mic? Impressed by your quick responses!

@@BBQCrasher No on the SM58 though i should have when i owned one. However i did do a video on the pe50sp Super Pro by shure, a vintage vical mic that looks and sounds VERY similar to the 58. I have always preferred it

@@BBQCrasher Agree on that take against the dr-10x for youtube content....i use the tascam for short podcast episodes on the run, basically all i use it for but man can it surprisingly drive some gain hungry mics. SM7B, Heil PR40, SM58....works pretty well for a snap on device with those

I just got one handed down to me and am having a difficult time getting to work with my Rodecaster Pro. Not much information out there on these things. I use condensers for my video livestream, just curious about this mic and am hoping to get it functioning. Any advice would be helpful.

What's it doing when you plug it in? It should simply work.... If it's not... Somethings wrong with it
