She is a mature artist... She is a great human being... Fuck off the mainstream, the fame, the pop music... PJ is doing something far beyond the average... She touch me deeply in my soul. Thank you dude!!!
This song is shit.
you are shit
Falou perfeito!
Absolutely well said 👍
That clip (near the end) in which the goat licks the gun barrel is brilliant!!!
It probably wanted to eat it. Goats will eat anything, almost!
Could be. They seem to like the taste of tin cans... LOL
Actually a sheep ;)
A very special artist & another lovely song.there's so many to listen to & the variety is mesmerizing.
Still her own sound, no comprimise, good for PJ
Oh She´s back: the greatest artist alive
I can't fully comprehend how her music makes me feel. And that's what I like about it.
This is the side of the world I don't usually see in the news, neither my traveling-friends taking selfies and posting on facebook with their happy faces. Thinking about this is really weird
Brilliant song and brilliant pictures! That one goat licking the gun barrel gets me everytime :D
After reading the book “The hollow land” the album means more, such a clever way to express the songs.
the mountains look incredible - I love seeing the variety of daily life that is inspiring. That little fluffy guy sniffed the gun at the end! :D very nice very nice
My God, this is fantastic. This is a very unexpectedly themed video for this song, but I love it.
lovely video. The soldier at the end encountering the farmer and his flock. Beautiful.
Amazing song!!
the video is good also
I agree Alain
It's kind of haunting in sound, & I am fascinated by the images in the video.
A genuine living legend, genius at work here..A real musician and artist.
QUEEN OF DESERT
Deep letter, full of lines and symbolism. Great singer. Loved it!
Some beautiful footage!
This is one of my favourites from the new album! Amazing job, Polly &co.!
I don't think this song is weak - it's a song exploring her own vulnerability in the songwriting process, her willingness to understand the World and its conflicts. It had to be this quiet, unassertive song. I find it so touching, and extremely well-written. Pay attention to those lyrics.
Precisely how is it exploring ‘her own vulnerability in the doing writing process’? Utter nonsense. It’s a song clearly about war and it’s got nothing to do with ‘her own vulnerability’.
@@MyMpc1 i was talking not about the theme but about the understated way she wrote it but okay
@@talkingtomyself3423 lol so if that’s the case how would you know that the ‘understates way she wrote it’ is about ‘her own vulnerability in the songwriting process’?! Utter nonsense.
i guess i'm the only one who really likes this album and connects with the theme of socio-political ills and the internal struggle over wanting to help and feeling powerless while somewhat responsible for the problems at the same time, huh? :/
Nah there's lots of us
That footage of the snow covered mountains... Beautiful
Heartbreaking.
My favourite album of 2016! I LOVE PJ!
What sound, my god, it’s only half way and it’s knocking my socks off
My first and one true love ..PJ♥️
In love with this. Love you Polly
Haunting,I am so touched by the stark reality,Beautiful,Thankyou
Best poetry since..
I love this album so much! To me it's the most impressive musical release of the last few years. Would have loved to see a live show.
It’s a great find to be able to explore and experience new music. This is what we need to know and hear in this chaotic existence. Thank you and wishing you the best 🙌🏻🙏🏻❤
And I Love Her ..
This is one of my fav album ever!!!
a happy chaos carried on..I kinda like lyrics.
Love this song it one of my favorite on the album ❤️❤️ the back vocal is the best.
I really adore this pj! It's great and I really respect how you are doing music now these days. You put your self away. You give videos with alot of stories. This is art. People are loving them self too much out there. Too much of selfish and selfie ect.. Why have world 🌍 become like this? Keep up the great good work. Love this song! You inspire me a lot.. I do writing and I do photography and drawing.. Many times just listening to your music. Thank you for this. Truly!
I totally agree. She inspires me in my writing, photography & film-making too. I actually wrote a short film with a female lead called Angeline (Angel) after listening to her song of the same name.
Perfect
MVP
Never stop
great job
Bravo Polly!!!!
truly awesome!
Stop asking for another Rid of me. This is just great and it would be a pity if she repeated herself all the time, as some want.
Warning ! Hey everyone, we had all better watch our p&q's hadn't we . The comments / opinion police are on patrol : )
There is nothing wrong with wanting another one like Rid of Me. Takes nothing away from her current work. I would LOVE another rocker myself but I still love this. People want what they want. Can't do shit about it
I see my comment wasn't taken quite well. Let me explain it so it doesn't sound so rude: I've always seen how many people criticise artists when they stuck in their style for long periods. In my case, I really admire the ability of daring to try new things. Isn't it one of the necessities of an artist to renew its creations? I feel that if she hadn't moved on, she would be roughly criticised, so that's why I complain about the people who only want her to repeat herself. By the way, I also love Rid of me! It's probably one of my favourite albums ever. So, that's all. Have a nice day ;)

Hmm, well it did "sound so rude " You obviously like to express your own opinion too, and say exactly how you feel about Polly's work, as you just did, and have an absolute right to. It would have been great if you could have afforded those other fans of PJ to express theirs without such a dictatorial ' you have no right to say that ' attitude, people just don't like it, as I'm sure you wouldn't ...
Have nice day : )
pfft, sounds like Let England Shake Part 2 if you ask me
WOW! Venha para o Brazil PJ! =)
simply.... amazing!
gonna be cool to watch this album in order like Let England Shake, when its all filmed
amazing!!! 😍
Great as always.
So guIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I waded into the discussion on the video of her appearance on Andrew Marr's show so I'll do the same here ... For me the fact that she changes so radically and puts herself on the line every time is so very admirable, and if you can go for 25 years and hardly set a foot wrong that's all but miraculous. I've got no problem with Hope Six's politics (another recalcitrant English leftie) and while I find some of the album hamfisted (for the first time ever) there are bits that make me weep. It's musically actually quite different from Let England Shake (blues-slanted rather than folk-slanted) and even when it doesn't come off there are still things to enjoy. Polly said a few years ago that her 'role on earth' was to 'explore what it means to be human through music' and I imagine that as her own hardest critic she'll learn from what's gone right on this album and what's gone wrong, and come out with something equally unexpected next time (unless she decides to give up and run for Parliament, or become ordained or something).
The discussion here is salutary for me as I find this one of the weaker tracks whereas lots of folk here like it! It only goes to vindicate Polly's long-held line that how someone listens to her music is more important than what she intended by it. I'd be interested to know how people understand the whole Orange Monkey image as I struggle to get a handle on it.
Amazing 😎
Cuanta belleza!!
すばらしい。
Thank You!
Amazing song
One of the favorite
2.35 😂😂😂 amazing as always
this is so good
Merci
un buen tema
One of the better songs on what I personally consider a patchy album. In my opinion, a step down from "Let England Shake" and, to some extent I agree with waz312 in that this could be considered "Let England Shake" part 2.
very nice.
Es algo tan lógico,, explorar,,ir por mas ,, libre fiel . Esta es una Artesana hacedora ,, bendita ella
Merci (Sophie Strasbourg France)
❤️
I'm showing my age here but I much prefer her early stuff. that just might be because the music you loved as a teen will always mean the most as you get older
that's why people say "first love is always the deepest", the songs that I love the most are those that came out during my teens.
Robert Creighton Though Dry and Rid of Me hold a special place in my heart that no other album of hers will, my love for all her work since is fervent.
Robert Creighton her earlier stuff wasn't so umm dare I say without implying insult not so out there. This won't get radio play. Amazing but.. different.
Robert Creighton I think she's matured brilliantly as an artist and her older, more angry less constructive music will always still be there and she still performs it and recognises that important era of her music but I'm glad she's moving forward still
old stuff is more fun, and arguably better. but the new stuff is good in mature ways
A few months ago someone asked my bride to be was what color the monkey was. She said Orange I looked up Orange Monkey and found this song this song is amazing. Orange is my favorite color also.
nice
PJ Harvey is a God. Don't you dare use the word Goddess.
Polly please come to Uruguay.
What a brave sheep sniffing the end of the gun at the end of the movie...
Glasto 2016!!
It's very very very similar to.....Arcade Fire "Laika"!!!
Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #2 (Laika)
few similar notes
Ačiū
oh, my god
Say it with The Wheel of Music
It's a little bit like The Creatures
S O GewiLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Pinshi vieja me gusta :3
Anyone knows where is this video filmed?
Afghanistan.
where is this filmed?
Afganistan

Polly Jean ❤❤
This new stuff is OK, but not a patch on Dress or Meet Ze Monsta.
Well she's in a very different place in her life now compared to when she made those classics. But I do agree in that this is not one of her best works...I loved White Chalk, liked Let England Shake a lot, but don't particularly like this one.
20 years can change the kind of music a person wants to make? s h o c k i n g

Polly, have you been listening to The Chap....?
Let England Shake's songs are all outstanding...The last one - maybe 1-2 not bad....
quelque chose de Kate Bush ... étonnantes toutes les deux !
2nd comment, at least.
Started off like a Bjork track....but that's no bad thing. Not enough PJ in there though?
I dislike it when the 'having an important message'. outweighs the production any interesting music.
Sure. But all messages aside, you have to admit that this song along with many others in the new album are great musically speaking.
Whilst, presumably, I agree with the message, I agree this is quite uninspired, and reeks of worthiness.
then you should listen to the album, you'll find a lot of pieces that stand their ground alone, without the aid of images and concepts. Still, this is art. She's using the yuxtaposition of a happy go lucky melody with quietly disturbing images, which in turn mean something else I'm sure you know. I take yor point though. To each...
Is this about Donald Trump?
Yes.
D.T. is one. Remember how many are going to vote for him. This is the real problem about the americans.
this is afghanistan
This has a gorillaz vibe to it
An u ye ya Yelp and yel at dat your yellow ar card and your hack that I don't bow bowed ZEED............go away.......I yell at.............I want my blood back.

Afghanistan.
I read all she did was watch. Barely a Hemingway. More like a Kennedy.
Uh guys does anyone agree that the orange monkey is undoubtedly Trump?
