I felt VERY nostalgic when I hopped on to Star Wars Battlefront II (2005). It feels like I’m a kid again, playing on my PS2. But, this day and age, is the PS5. Seeing this game run on 60FPS is a NICE change!
Switch for me mate, I used to play OG battlefront II with my older brother when I was a kid on the PS2, it was quite literally my childhood so love to see it return.
Hello guys! (Bug Tester) Ok, so I have been testing the PS5 port all this morning, and there are some minor bugs here and there and some graphical. But the cutscenes on the campaign were there, the game works fine on PS5 and no major issues were spotted througout 6 hours of playtime. I tested BF1 and it worked perfectly fine except for the odd sound passing of the sound effects in the loading screens. And these issues are sadly present in the BF2 port aswell, but it seems like they worked hard on BF1 and didn’t get enough time to work on BF2 so maybe its going to get fixed… hopefully. Either way, am really happy about it coming to PS5 and playstation in general and I am looking forward to playing it more and more and seeing if any patches pop up! 👍 Issues: * Hud in BF2 is miss aligned and off center on most hud elements. * Music is too low on BF2 and soldier voices don’t work properly. (on BF2 Multiplayer only) * Bloom effects on Mustafar and on planets in spacebattle and some fog shaders are missing, also indirect lighting is completely gone from the game… * Framerate seems great in VRR but seems buggy without it… not sure whats going on but I feel like its the way the game always has been. I have played the game over 1500+ hours on Xbox and PC combined, so if there is a small change I will catch it. * Major Audio Ramping bugs, the audio queues are inverted and in some cases in slomo. * BF1 has bugged loading screen audio. * sometimes when you host your own server on BF2 it gives the host 30fps limited? Weird but it is a bug, and can be fixed. Many more small issues but that most of the bad ones. These are only bugs that I’ve seen personally on my PS5 unit. Other issues may be worse on other platforms.
Looks like Battlefront 2004 in the classic collection still only has a 28v28 bot count in Instant Action, which for me is pretty disappointing as I was expecting an updated bot count of 64 like Battlefront II had. In addition, some bots seemed to not load in all the way which made some instant action matches really one-sided. Matches seemed difficult on your side even with easy mode selected. Idk, hope they look at the collection again and tweak some things if they can.
I’ve been playing the game for a little bit now, and heros vs villains is a little bugged I think, all the heros do are throw there lightsabers and us force lightning, I know in the original they always used force lightning, also the health geeks to be absolutely massive
Xbox series x for me if I be lucky winner, for manny probably is a gem 💎 but for me it's just nothing new. This is still same PC game with some graphics improvement. I have pirate copy both classic games from gog games with new battlefront mods and this doesn't make any difference because those games looks all the same. And I could easily play multiplayer battlefront 2 on steam on pc . Still plenty people play out there So I am not impress . I will pass on that one even i could get easily on Xbox series x or playstation,5 . For me it's just money grabbing if you PC player. You can get those games separately cheaper online if you on pc . I understand consoles people and that hype. So don't be upset. Everybody have a choice. I just don't see anything new and the tag price is still high for me. I am happy what I have be mostly on pc . And creative community still doing mods for most battlefront games so that's why I don't see reason to spend more money. But I wish all the best all people whose gonna played does remaster versions. I play lately on playstation 5 in battlefront 2 from 2017 and maybe because I am tired after spending 11 thousand hours out there onbroken game maybe that's my point of view. Or maybe I just tired overall star Wars games. Who knows. I see all and play all so I just not impress with that new release. Everybody can have own opinion or perspective of view.
I also discovered that this game is pretty big 60 gb , the controllers are crappy so far,the multiplayer is almost unplayable beacuse of low 30 or lower fps, most stuff including cut scenes are missing and plenty other issues. Just be careful before you buy it.
If you invert Y do NOT buy this!!!!! It isn't an option game unplayable (for me). I can't believe that no play tester uses inverted Y and if they do they didn't tell them....this is very odd because the original release had this but they took it out for the new version?!?!?!? Devs fix this please!!!!!
@grimtrazzd6043 You are entitled to your opinion, but do you even know what it means to Invert the Y axis? "Getting used to it" for one game is impossible.

Please go into how there are no ending cutscenes for the story mode for bf2 and how the load screen sound isn’t the same from bf1
Played these games when they first came out and had a blast with friends. Now I have a son of my own. Would love to play it with him on my PS5

Battlefront 1 is the hardest tho, bf2 is really easy
