Glass Totems with Doug Green Globe

- I found this great round vase with colors of blue, green and gold and just had to create a cool new tabletop totem. I decided that it needed a special topper, so I took out some of my alcohol inks to give some pop to a glass marble. If you have never used alcohol inks, you might want to give this a look, although I am far from an expert.
This and other videos should help give you inspiration and confidence to try this new hobby for yourself. Check out more on my blog:

Love it. Aqua Marine colours appeals me totally.
Gracias, hermoso quedo!!
I just love these creations. I have a pudding cup left from a set of 4 that I bought for my grandmother almost 50 years ago. I might need to make a totem with it. She would have loved that idea.
Great idea!
That's my favorite color! You matched the glass clear piece almost perfectly. I had no idea this was how you could color glass. I have about 100 bottles of alcohol ink that I use for my painting. I have the exact same crystal pieces you used too. I know what I'm doing this long memorial weekend. Woo Hoo. Thank you, Doug! Blessings ~
I have found that the alcohol inks, when coated with final clear gloss hold up well for indoor pieces. Outdoors they tend to fade away after a bit - depends on the color. There also are a few spray paints that look like translucent frosted "sea glass" that would be fun to try, probably on larger pieces though. Let me know how your projects turn out.
💚GORGEOUS💙
