DysonV8 vs. V10 Comparison: A Lot Closer Than You Think 👌👌

So I put the Dyson V8 and V10 to the test to see which model is better. The results are surprisingly close and selecting one over the other will boil down on what you need.

When it comes to cleaning performance, the results are so close that there's really no clear winner. If you base it on the scores, the Dyson V8 actually did slightly better, but the V10, in my opinion, has the better standard brush roll that works better on hard floors.
This is an important consideration because you save a bit of cash by going with the cheaper "Animal" variant and not have to constantly change tools every time you have a transition.
Whereas in the V8, you'll have to change everything there's a change of surface. The direct-drive head won't do as well on anything larger than a speck of dust.
The V10 also runs longer - up to 61 minutes in the test I did on the lowest setting with the crevice tool attached.
Even with the torque drive attached, it will run for up to 46 minutes in the lowest setting and 27 minutes in the middle setting.
So if you're looking for a cord-free stick vacuum that can clean a larger area better.
The V8 runs much shorter - up to 41 minutes with suction only tools and up to 31 minutes with the main cleaning head.
This makes the V8 a good option inside smaller homes.
The V10 feels bigger because of the large dust cup, but the difference isn't much.
In terms of length, the V10 is only slightly longer than the V8.
Weight is also close, but the V10 feels slightly heavier above floors.
The biggest surprise for me would be how well the V8 deep cleans at 94.3% versus 94.4% of the V10 when it comes to cleaning embedded coffee grounds on medium-pile carpet.
