I can home from school in 2001 when I was 12 to find a huge gap where my computer used to be. So I go down stairs to ask my dad where's my computer and he told me "I took it down to the dump!" I went BERSERK!!!! In 22 years he has never said sorry for throwing away one of my most sentimental things after my rabbit.

On level 6 the hole in front of the big soldier is smaller, if you hang down from that hole he walks over you sending you to your death.
Motion capture of a programmer's brother was used. The animation itself was already there in 1986: czcams.com/video/ZW_eExHpTZI/video.html And as of this technique in general, it was used no later than 1952 (human characters there were not hand-drawn but captured): czcams.com/video/1FtcZy6fow0/video.html Of course it is still impressive.

i m still one of the first people playing POP in 96 ! and it was already preinstalled on my IBM pc that my father bought me when i was 13, NB speakers, CDROM, WIN95, Winapp player, and i used to watch movies on my pc thanks to the VCD technology at that time the DVX and once DVD came to life i bought it then bought a DVDROM for my Pentium 4 PC , before that i had i P2 pc then 3 the 4 then dual core then I5 Dell i evolved from 95 to 10 !

We need more games like Prince of Persia 1989. With retro game styles becoming more popular, I think more cinematic platformers should be made. I really want to work on something like that but dont have a team :/

It was fun watching your game play .especially 11 level , some levels could have been worked better like 2,3,4(if max life-potion was skipped),5,7 - can be interpreted in a different way .... secrets missed in 6, but everyone has their own style of playing and route . and you were awesome ..if you have time play Repetition of Time - pop1.

Consider the time , It was also one of the oldest mod released that too within few years of original and with few resources ,and i am against the idea that if its a mod everything should be different .Atleast at some parts we get the Original feeling ..and as some feel that modder was lazy i dont want to be rude but it might be true or wouldnt say lazy but needed time because the in actual released game level 11 was corrupted and impossible to play ..It was fixed by David or needs to be fixed manually .

It is amazing how fluid and 'natural' the sprite animations were presented in a 2D DOS game, back in 1994.
