I saw that episode many times. I checked out what $1100 was now compared to then. Back then it would take years to save that. $1100 went quite a long way compared to now. I also loved Mr. Brady's reaction when Greg said about finding $1100. Great show.
When Mike said, "What's going to happen, if they get it?", Carol had that, " I hope they don't" look. If the kids did get the money, $183.33 for each one then would be more than $1100 for each one today.
@LKR0722 I'm retired. When I was working as a nurse, there were times when I made about $1,100 for one shift. (13 hours of overtime pay plus a bonus for working an extra shift.
@johnoconnor6356 I’m a recently-retired nurse. During my last couple years at work, I did one extra shift every week to help fund an early retirement. For each extra shift I would get 13 hours of overtime pay at $51 an hour plus a $500 bonus. That is a total of $1163 gross income for one shift.
If this was filmed in 1971, that money would be worth around $8200 today. A stash of loot for sure. In the early 1990s my mom found an envelope somewhere in public containing $500. She gave it me to enjoy as I liked. Such a lovely gesture.
There would have been no way to prove the money was theirs unless they jotted down all the serial numbers and nobody does that. It's just one of those unfortunate losses we've all experienced in one way or another.

True first they should fine out who lost it then after 30 days if no one claimed it then it belongs to the boys and only the boys not the parents or the girls
l would return the money who it belongs too. u do a good deed it well come back at u. lts better to do the right thing if u don't it well be in u for the rest of ur life. u well regret it.
The girls really had no right to the money so I don't know why they think would and why jan was seeing how much each kid would get the money belong to the boys not the girls or the parents
When Mike told the kids that he was turning the wallet over to the police, and the girls agreed with him, would they have agreed with him, if the boys were willing to split the money with them?
I Love Watching The Brady Bunch ❤
“This isn’t math, this is money!” right on Jan😂
Jan was totally on point. Math is one thing. Money is a totally different subject.
These videos bring back so many memories of when I was a child. It’s good to be able to see them again!!! ❤
They found $1,100. Back then that was about $8,700!
Hell, I’d happily take the amount found in this episode!
Yeah, and $1100 could buy A LOT back then.
@@jamesr1703 Sure as hell a LOT more than these days

it would be worth 10k today
The guy who lost the wallet/ money was Mr. Stoner. 😂
He and the Mrs have been saving for years.
I love the Brady Bunch 😍
“There they go, Howard Hughes and J. Paul Getty”😂😂😂😂

$1,100 was a lot of money at that time. Now they would be like "Hey, we can go out to lunch!"
Lol. I could really use $1,100, or any amount.

@@LucidDreamer54321 well-earned by you!
$1100 would still be a descent amount of money even today.

@ 2:29 That's his reaction today hearing the current electric bill due at Brady Manor.
Oh Peter 🥰
Simplistic but it's wholesome. Unlike today's shows that try to be SO deep and sophisticated, but aren't.
We need full episodes!

Msr your mom should have turned it over to the police and after 30 days if no one claimed it then it could be yours

Thats why people use debit cards now.

Back when money was worth something. I miss Flo.
Everyone in shows always finds money lol 😆
That seems like a weird place to lose your wallet. Someone had to take an emergency dump or something?
See now, the first mistake was telling their parents🙃
Exactly. Don’t tell anyone!
That could be someone’s rent or food money it should be turned into the police and if it doesn’t get claimed after 30 days then it’s yours
Well, I think Carol and Mike Brady would start to become suspicious when the boys started buying expensive clothes and toys.

They tried to, and eventually the owner came. Nice older man. Gave them a reward.
