Really difficult times around me. Folks around me are losing their MBA jobs. MBA salary is mouthwatering but it has its downsides. IIM jobs, Scary scenes presently.
So, I got laid off from my decent-paying (1.25L) job back in August 2023. Instead of sulking, I saw it as a sign to shake things up. Ended up diving into MBA prep, aced the exams, and now I've got interviews lined up for B-school. Life's a rollercoaster, but I'm all in for the ride, you know? Everything happens for a reason!
Hey dada, you also said it in the earlier video about mba colleges that relationships are mostly based on taking advantages and youre not like that, and today it shows how much you cared about your friends, please never change cuz thats what humanity is, we shouldn't forget our emotions and move on like nothing happened. Sir please advise me. I had 85 percentile this time and I have cap calls Non engineer 8/9/7 I am good in quants.. I have an offer from an offline coaching to join as quants faculty this next cat..should i give it a try to get into blacki next time..
I weatheres 4 layoffs in 3 years in my previous organisation but fell to the last. The day me and my colleges got laid off, we were happy and not sad. Many of us had alternate plans already and it was a matter of time we would have quit on us. The only issue I have is companies should stop telling they are a family. They should strictly restrict themselves to being just businesses. And I have seen many people ranting on LinkedIn about their previous employer after getting laid off. That's the worst thing one could do to ourselves. I have a question to Souvik da (da i bollam, besides being very junior to you, we share the same surname 😅), is it fine to mention our future employers that we got laid off? Because many sources tell not to mention that and tell that we resigned by ourselves. Thanks in advance.
Sir right now iam MBA 1st year student I attempted cat in 2023 but didn't got good percentile... So my parents forced me to join tier 3 college I am not happy for that I am willing to give one more attempt in 2024 if I got good percentile and qualified for IIM interview will joining an another MBA college earlier than iim .... affects my admission in iim ??
Thats why i am niether , connected to anyone in person (except my family) or any of the companies, so far i have worked in switched or layedoff from 5-6 companies.
Right thing to do. Companies are not family and they should rather start meaning that. They would first tell they are a family, would force everyone to take part in useless team bonding exercises, and when done will layoff like we are none.
