Still farfetched to believe that ANYBODY was able to pinpoint Big Chap in the void of space. Even finding a xeno queen would be a daunting task. Does WayYu suddenly have some sort of xeno tracker now?
Not sure about the movie universe, but they got some pretty crazy tech for xeno based stuff in the comics and books.
200 years in the future, so who knows what kind of crazy tech was available.
@@briankriens5645 So we are to believe they can find a lone xenomorph floating in space in a search area that must be many cubic light years - but they can't detect a massive derelict space ship full of thousands of xenomorph eggs on the surface of LV426?
Yes they can find big chap because if they have tech to travel space then for sure they have advanced navigation systems to detect any debris so they don't collide into it. Also big chap will make noise and movement they can detect. Plus remember they intercepted Ripley's spaceship in alien 3. For all we know big chap could still be clinging onto the spaceship or hijacked another ship passing by. So there's a lot of reasons why big chap survived.

It's utterly ludicrous to suggest that WY would have the technology to find a specific 8ft long object in deep space - even if they knew to look for it - whilst at the same time completely overlooking the derelict with thousands of eggs on board on a planet they surveyed and settled for terraforming.
Also - they didn't intercept Ripley's ship in Alien 3 - Ripley was ejected from the Sulaco in an escape pod following a fire - which subsequently crash landed on Fury 161.
Hard pass. The queen was ejected from the sulaco while in the gravity well of LV-426, and likely the gas giant. If she doesn't burn up in either of those atmospheres, she'd likely pancake upon hitting the surface.

I was giving my reasoning for why we're likely not going to see the same queen from the events of Aliens on LV-426.

The Sulaco was in low planet orbit so I always assumed the queen burnt up in re-entry to the planet since it now had an atmosphere from the terrafroming project.

No these aliens are very hardy and can survive in deep space and even burning up. Remember in alien 3 they could even survive molten lava so no burning up as they can survive anything.
@@Elderpredator The queen in Resurrection is the queen that was inside Ripley in Alien 3, cloned after numerous attempts.
I always thought that was a very likely outcome too. But it's possible that the queen was propelled away from the planet and entered a state of hibernation over time. It could be cool to explore the idea so long as it was done right and didn't make things overly convenient.

Alien Labrynth would be perfect for a plot like this one... they wasted a potential realignment of the lore and to make the different franchises come together... I'm telling you it would be perfect...
There was a dark horse comic which showed some guys encountering two Xenos (drones) while they were in space and they got in the ship.
If Alien Romulus takes place 20 years after the first movie, then there’s still 37 years until Aliens happens. Ripley was floating in space for 57 years. Unfortunately I don’t think the queen from Aliens will be the same one in Romulus.

I remember before Alien 3 was released I was thinking the Queen managed to make it to Fury 161.
Honestly the more I hear the more I'm disinterested. It seems like they're going to try to put way too many memberberries as well as linking it into Prometheus and Covenant, which I hated. Then linking it to Alien and Aliens. I have a hard time believing this is going to be good and not just a mess.

What's wrong with Prometheus. It's a great origin story for the engineers and how aliens was created. You can't just rehash the same story line again. Covenant was good. It nicely continued David's story and gave us more aliens.

I think so too. A better option would be that they find the wreckage of the Nostromo and recover the egg that Brett was being metamorphosed into. If this contained a queen face hugger (like the one in Alien 3), then this would explain how a new outbreak could occur on the Romulus station.

Well it's already confirmed and in the movie plus it didn't die at end was just seen blown away but no fire damage and wasn't blown to bits and pieces

@@loganw6156 True - but it wouldn't be a massive retcon to suggest that the self destruct mechanism malfunctioned perhaps due to damage caused by the xenomorph, the face hugger's acid - or even sabotage by Ash.
It kinda fits with what we saw on screen in Alien. There wasn't a single explosion, but rather three. Two small ones and then a final very large one with debris. This could be indicative of a malfunction. The first smaller explosions blew the drive unit clear - then the final explosion was the refinery and it's contents going up.
It'd certainly be easier to believe than finding a lone xenomorph just floating in the vastness of space.
@cityhunter665 the nostromos flight recorder was recovered they said it in Aliens. Maybe they were looking around the area with bioscanners and honed in on it. It's a pretty big stretch but it is possible. It was an idea from even before Cameron was on board for aliens. So in a way it's really nothing new but it's just kind of far fetched IMO
The pilot in the original Alien was a fossil and was killed by a chest burster, so I doubt the queen will be created in Romulus as the species is clearly ancient. Who would have laid the eggs in Alien 1979?
The eggs were laid by the Queen so that means the Queen is still there but may have died from lack of food. There's literally nothing to eat there. Before Queen died she laid bunch of eggs but without a host they all died so only big chap survived.
@@jonfreeman9682 More eggs survived besides Big Chap's egg. Newt's father got a face hugger from the ship after all. Most of them looked dead, but the area where Kane got infected still had the blue laser field thing, so all of those eggs could be potential living parasites.

I recall a moment when I was in my teens , whilst perusing the sci-fi section of a book store, when a young couple happily traded barbs about their tastes in authors. A statement uttered from the woman has stayed with me to this day where she stated "I like science in my science fiction".
While conceding previous movies give credence to (at least immediate) survival in space I am reticent to suspend my disbelief and accept a world where any living being, even one so hardy, can overcome an extended period in space. Conditions in such an environment include not just exposure to an absolute vacuum, but also extreme temperatures, exposure to meteorites, along with exposure to radiation.
I'd be far more accepting of a queen surviving the depths of an ocean, for example, the queen from "Alien versus Predator" than one ejected into space but perhaps I am asking too much from script writers who unboundedly reject the basic requirement to, in a most basic way, include "science in their science fiction".

Ye Cameron went go big or go home which was great but it misses the subtle creepiness of the beast. Egg morphing could still happen but you’d need a lonesome alien which wont be this film.

So glad you have this theory about the Queen, back when they had the fan film contests for alien day a years back, I actually pitched the idea of the Queen being found in space after aliens, causing another outbreak.
Two things mildly related to point out. 1) The intro to AvP is designed to look like the Alien Queen in space after Aliens and turns out to be a satellite's spines. That was well done. 2) If xx121 can survive in space it can also survive in water, meaning there's a queen under the Antarctic somewhere still chained to a water tank. Again from AvP.
There's rather a few comments involving the Acheron Queen having been sucked into the moons gravity, though that would depend on how low the orbit of the Sulaco was - which we assume was low but may not have been.
Ok, having just re-watched the Aliens airlock scene again, and understanding a little of physics hopefully, I'm saying that the Queen was NOT sucked into Acherons gravity as the camera angle doesn't show Acheron directly beneath it. Because, obviously, space is a vacuum, even mid/low orbit, an object will go in the direction given by the force that was last imparted on it. In this case, potentially waaaayyy out there in open space. So she's still alive, but the odds of finding her would be literally astronomical.
Didn’t Ridley supposedly put his foot down during his Prequels there would be no integration adapting the Queen in his movies. But there’s supposedly a reference to a Queen in the Alien Covenant David message video to Weyland Yutani where he’s “working on his master piece his Queen and this will change everything.”

This does not make much sense. Just because the writers of certain products showed the Xenomorphs capable of surviving in space or Big Chap being picked up somehow, that doesn't mean the Alien Queen from Aliens is still alive, and I certainly hope they do NOT go with the idea of the Queen having been produced on Romulus instead of coming from the Derelict...
I had a prediction a while ago that the android who looks like ash is containing the queen somewhere in the lower levels of the space station. It would be interesting if it turned out he is in control of what doors along the way to let xenomorphs in and out.

Regarding the Nostromo…in any event where the crew deliberately turn the cooling units off to detonate the ship. An automatic precaution would be to dump the computer mainframe and eject it from the ship, before detonation. This module would contain the flight recorder plus any residual information that the computer mainframe would have, including a homing beacon. You could find the derelict Alien ship with this information. I think this would be cooler and more plausible than finding the big chap floating in space.
I always thought in my head, even as a teen when I first saw Alien and Aliens that the 'Big chap' and the 'Queen' were not dead when they were blown into space.
So this theory is a confirmation to me.
I imagined them flying into another planets atmosphere and being picked up by someone or some company.
One thing id like to know is is there only one queen at any time or can there be multiple? In my mind they’re like ant or bee queens where there can be many each with their own hives
Think there is a comic on all that , and there is multiple queens controlling there hives, and there is a master queen who rules the queens
I think in the game AVP2, they explain it when there are multiple Queen's, the strongest within becoming Empress and rule over all the other hives.

THE QUEEN ALIEN DOES TAKE DAMAGE IN ALIENS.
When the powerloader lands on top of her and pins her to the door, note her tail that is flailing around trying to get Ripley. The stabbing spike end of her tail broke off. Small detail I've noticed but never seen anyone explain.
Doesn't mean she will die, but buddy... You're a bigger fan than me, I hope you knew this...

one thing I don't think anyone counted on is space debris from meteorites, comets or such colliding with them whilst they float..
The Big Chap got spaced a considerable distance from LV-426 so he was just floating around. The he Queen got spaced while they were still in orbit so I figured even if she survived vacuum, she would eventually burn up in whatever atmosphere LV-426 had left or eventually go splat
I thought that the Xenomorph at the end of Alien was burned to a crisp. Wasn't it that Ripley put on the ships thrusters and then burnt it that way?

No they don't get burned and can survive heat and fire. Remember in alien 3 they had no problem swimming in molten lava and jumping around having fun too.

I think bringing back the queen would be more difficult. She was ejected in orbit above LV-426. She certainly wasn’t in a stable orbit. She would likely experience a fiery reentry. If she could survive that, then she would face the fall onto the surface

Yeah, that aliens can survive in vacuum - possibly indefinitely - was pretty well-accepted fan conjecture. The assumption was that it is in part to their unusual metabolism/biochemistry.
As for the Alien Queen...Considering the Dropship did fall downward after detaching from Sulaco, it seems Sulaco was not actually orbiting LV-426 and the Queen would likely fall onto the planet and end up a bug splatter.
I wanna know what happened to the tip of the queen's tail; when she's caught under the power loader at the end the tip is gone (No acid blood)

I would argue that Ripley didn't exactly have a sacrifice to make in "Resurrection". Since she's not THE Ellen Ripley. It would have been interesting to see a sequel to show what the Ripley clone did after the events of "Resurrection".
Hardlocked safely for me at least is that BOTH Egg Morphing and Alien Queen are equal opportunity propegation methods. Both canonlore viable for different situations. One for a lonely drone, the other when theres more. You really think either is the only way this highly adaptable biomechanical weapon species spreads and survives? They can’t get the big chap from the harpoon gun; it’s still in the door of the lifeboat when ripley is rescued, I always assumed the queen burnt up in the atmosphere of Acheron seeing how close the sulaco was to its gravity well, also she doesn’t need to survive, the alien hive will automatically produce another queen if theirs is dead like bees do

I have to say, I'd be interested to know *how many* Xeno Queens there are. My count excluding Covenant, what ever that thing was, is two down, one in Aliens, one in AvP.
In alien where they found the original "egg" the room was immense and could had many other rooms and many Queens. In aliens it could be only one of many others as the Jockey spaceship in very large, another queen or "queen face hugger" could hide in any ship going out from LV426.
We can assume the queen is still al8ve because she is present on the promotional posters already out.
What if the WY launched a “rescue” misson after the Nostromo incident and found big chap? The Aliens can adapt to any role including queen.
I think the movie probably is about the xenomorph from the first alien movie(which was blown outer in space).
Probably the Romulus spaceship picks it up,unaware of what it is and then gets infected till all but one is
killed and then the person shots itself out in an emergency pod ?

The Queen was shot out relatively early out of the ship, so doesn't that mean that she just got sucked into the moons atmosphere and burned up? There's no logical reason it would just float away into space, when they were that close to the moon
You should do a recap on the story time line (sorry if I missed it if you have) I am not that familiar with Alien isolation, I thought it was a game.
So Queenie is in Orbit around LV426, though without any thrusters would be in a decaying orbit unless someone picks her up before she burns up.
In Aliens vs Predator material, Xenomorphs are seen on a kind of electromagnetic vision mode in the predator visor. Therefore Weyland-Yutani may simply be able to scan the area for odd electromagnetic signatures to pinpoint the location of the big chap and the queen.
Yet their magical BS xenomorph locating device misses a huge derelict spaceship with thousands of eggs in it's cargo hold that is just lying on the surface of LV426?
Ridley already told us this in directors commentary in the last one....the aliens are like star fish and even the one crushed by the grabber innthe last film will over time be totally fine.

But alien two showed the gun was still right by the door. And weird fact when the queen was in the i guess air lock he can see her tail was ripped off half way up. Not deadly tho. This could be a good show or movie.
It's all a bit silly imo, I don't know why they felt the need to find the Big Chap when they could have just sent androids to LV-426 to collect eggs, which is also a query one might have for Alien itself.

My guess on how they find Big Chap would be the company focusing on the last point the Nostromo was at before detonation and then scanning all the possible trajectories of any escape craft, in this case the Narcissus then scanning those areas of space.
That's a massive area given the speed of the Nostromo at the time (faster than light speed) - all the possible trajectories the Narcissus could have taken - plus the fact it may also have been blown off it's original trajectory by the explosion. Then you have to factor the trajectory the xenomorph and Narcissus took after Ripley fired the engines in an unplanned and uncalculated burn.
You'd be talking a search area many cubic light years in size - to find a dark life form 8ft long that doesn't even show up on infrared.

This is the problem with prequels - in bad hands, they end up creating more issues than they solve - issues which then need ever more elaborate explanations to make sense.

I really don’t see a need why the "Big Chap" should be in Alien: Romulus…same with the queen that was ejected into space at the end of Aliens.
There are tons of eggs inside the Derelict on LV-426 that Weyland-Yutani could have secretly removed a few of before Hadley‘s Hope was built & used for further experiments, leading to the events of Alien: Romulus and Alien: Isolation. They knew the location anyway.
Cause they always need to drag other ppls perfection up to ride its coat tails. Lets hope its not a bad movei.
what if Xenomorph queen is created by Weyland-Yutani in Alien:Romulus because the original alien extended cut has a scene that show corpse and living body turning to xenomorph egg (metamorphosis), that life cycle is hard to control so Weyland-Yutani modify life cycle to have only alien queen that can reproduce eggs.
I think the queen in Aliens grew from the alien egg morphing process to make sure the Aliens have a queen for the new hive.
@Assassin90Nine I don’t think so when Russ came back from the derelict they sent 2 teams into investigate the queen was born from one of them I believe the first one is always there to get a hive ready for a queen
Maybe they found the Big Chap right after the events of Alien. This just makes sense because mother was nearly always in contact with Wayland Yutani. So if they found it right after the events they could easily take 20 years for their researches and the whole back engineering. Maybe the big chap was at this time around alive I doubt that it will be when the main protagonists arrive at the Romulus station. But maybe a more menacing one waits for them...

You could potentially bring the original alien back into romulus and tie it together but the Queen not sure about be harder to tie it all together. In absent of a Queen in a hive a xeno can morph into a queen so you could technically have multiple queen's in different hives.so how could you tell the eggs came from the same Queen 🤔
Well who knows about the Queen being Alive still.... but with the Big Chap we can't assume that its Alive, its likely that the remains are recovered at some point and that the Romulus Station begins to experiment with it. It seems like the Xenomorph in this Movie and Facehuggers will be slightly different from ALIEN but should be very close to the Big Chap (well the Xenomorphs from ALIEN ISOLATION)... Regarding the Queen then YES we can't rule out her being recovered in Future
I remember as a kid in the early 90s when i was about 7 another kid on the school bus claiming he had seen a banned sequel to Aliens where the queen alien had landed on another planet and dominated it...None of us believed him because it was shit idea....30 years later, here we are. (At the time i did secretly wish it was true though)

This is inaccurate. If you watch Aliens again, the Queen’s stinger at the end of her tail was broken off in the fall into the air lock.
Why not just leave it a vague mystery how they git their hands on some aliens instead of ruining past films?
Fun fact the Queen Xenomorph in Avp is the same gueen that Ripley ejected in to space
