- This is a Producer slipknot psychosocial Reaction. My first time hearing Slipknot and man let me tell you this... wow, I was blown away. I have heard a lot of heavy metal songs but this one has so much power and it's Put together in a musical way.
If you want to see a hip hop head reacts to metal from a producer point of view, then watch this. I was on tour with a heavy metal band and i had the time of my life. So I think i do know a little about this slipknot the devil reaction stuff.

In particular this one from, I believe, 2002 czcams.com/video/acPK3LslngY/video.html It would be interesting to hear you analyze what he's doing and seeing your reaction. First time I saw it, I couldn't keep my jaw off the floor. He amazes me. Truly one of the best drummers in metal, in my opinion.
He passed away today. RIP.
This is metal my dude , a hybrid of little hardcore,nu metal and death metal. Metal had a hundred subgenre range from traditional heavy metal,death metal,black metal,symphonic metal,progressive metal,metalcore,stoner metal,doom metal,post metal and etc.

There's a lot of call and response sections in metal as it was borne of Blues/R&B. Modern metal can sometimes be too focussed on cramming notes into the sub divisions, which sacrifices the groove and pocket. It's not a bad thing just a different path. Metal is about diversity of sound and evolving the art. All the best Mike

In their older albums the drummer had more drum solos. Thats where he really shined. In this album the guitarists were leading. A good example is their song People = Shit.

Check this out I took my 10 year old son (at the time) my wife to go see Slipknot at the 1st mayhem festival. with opening acts like disturbed who else was there 5 finger death punch before they got popular And a band from Atlanta but I canot remember their name it's been so long ago. my son is now about to be 22, but it was the best damn concert. O God if you get a chance they are awesome. I'm hoping to see on when they come into Texas after this Wuhan virus bs and my son's going to take his disabled father. My dream is to stand in the middle of a mosh pit with my son holding up my cane while jamming to slipknot. what better way to celebrate.
