- Hello! Another Doctor Who rescore for you all, this one is for the ending scene of Series 12's opener 'Spyfall: Part One'!
For the scene in question, I have incorporated "The Master Suite" from the soundtrack for the 2008-09 Specials, which was originally used in 'The End of Time'.
I feel the soundtrack works quite well with the scene and really adds to the chaos and intensity of the moment; see what you think!

I love how it can just fit. Both of them fit so well, even when they look out the window. Well done again.
Ohh the timing is so perfect and it fits wonderfully with the scene! I miss Murray Gold's music so, so much. Amazing job :)
@@chriszone50 I have doubts. Of course Segun's theme was really nice for scheming Master, but Murray theme was much better in giving idea of Master absolute insanity. I think those themes will work best together, with Murray's full blown in revelation moment (great fit, also four knocks were iconic) and after bomb explode (ideal fit, also great action music) and Segun's in between when we had sinister and calm side of Master.
@@qnebra Honestly with what you're saying, this music recontextualizes his whole personality in the scene. _Un-fucking-hinged._
@@chriszone50 but it can’t beat the old
Its amazing how much more Doctor Who it feels with Murray Gold's music
@@chriszone50 Disagree with the "iconic" agree with John Simm not being a great master but still a good one. Missy is my favourite and I like Sacha Duwan's Master Theme but I prefer The Master Suite cause it has the four beats that became iconic with The Master also Sacha gives off massive John Simm vibes with the craziness.
@@chriszone50 Also yes it is the best soundtrack from Series 12 but best soundtrack in Doctor Who there are a lot more I can think of that are better than the new Master theme.
It doesn't really fit with the scene though
@@kylemccrory2031 each to their own i think it fits perfectly
It does make me wonder if they wanted to use Gold’s music, but couldn’t, so they had ‘The Spymaster’ take its place.
Sacha Dhawan and John Simm are my favourite versions of the Master, and hearing the song of one favourite with the reveal of another is just epic.
I like missy and Sacha
@@BusBenchProductions Missy is one of my favorites but John Simm is my moat favorite for how insane he was.
God I expected this to sound good, but I did not expect it to fit so perfectly!!
i can’t get over how well timed this is. i love the original, but this is SO goddamn cool
3:40 onwards fits so well. I really do miss Murray Gold's soundtracks..
3:30 tbh.

This makes Ryan's "So what's going on then, he's not really O" line seem even dumber than it was before. Poor Tosin, he seemed to always get the short end of the stick dialogue wise.
I liked the original scene, but the Murray Gold score adds just a little more punch to it. This rescore gives me chills.
This fits TOO well to make sense! SO GOOD!
Perfectly timed, I have to say! And perhaps next time, why not try re-scoring the Doctor's visit to Gallifrey in Part 2?
Thank you! and that's not a bad idea at all ;)
This fits so brilliantly! Well done! I love it!
Not as good as the original theme used for this scene.
1:05 is just so satisfying!
"Call me the spy-Master". Sent chills down my human spine, lol.
Cor it really fits doesn't it? I love 'The Spymaster' as a track but this works really well!
I have no idea how many times I’ve replayed this now
This music is what this scene needed to be perfect.
Now I can't imagine it without the Master's suit...
I am not a big fan of the current seasons (though I like 12 a little more than 11), but these re-scores really help. I wouldn't mind watching the 13th Doctor if she had Murray Gold music backing her along the way. Great job!
Everything becomes better with Gold's tracks, we all agree on that one. The guy has a perfect feeling of moment.
This is an example of how much a score can improve a scene.
1:03 still fits the spy theme of the episode
It's almost as if the theme was somehow made for the ep 10 years in advance by Murray 😅
if only they kept the BEST MASTER THEME EVER. the timing was perfect, and I wish it was official
This is very deep I do say...
They 100% were planning to use this at first lol
Chibnalls has never felt like Doctor who until now. It’s amassing how much it elevates the scene.
O: call me master
Companions (knowing darn well what kinks are): WHAT!
I think they were just thinking “Who would call themselves ‘Master’ as a simple name?” based on how Graham says “Call you what?” when O says “Call me ‘Master’.”
The main thing missing from Jodies era is Murray Gold’s music I have a strong inclination that if her era had Murray Gold as the primary composer then it would feel far more like Doctor Who
Yeah, he is the best Composer for Doctor Who.
I can't stop rewatching this i-
3:16 Matt Smith Vibes..
Jodie nailed the role ❤
The way this fits has me convinced that they wanted to use Gold's score and Gold said no. It is just too well-timed to be coincidence
I love the four knocks
This fits the episode so well
god Murray Gold is so fucking good
Absolutely love this! Spyfall is such an underrated gem :)
It's so much better like this!!! It just feels more like the Master
I think this scene was made for this song It is not possible that the song will be perfectly timed with the video bro
I’ll hand this to Chibnall. The Master never missed.
How does this sync so PERFECTLY?! 😲
infinitely better. Love Sacha
I like this scene better with this soundtrack. The drums are just associated with the Master.
Could someone do this for the whole series please
Well, only for some scenes, because at all this series doesn't deserve Murray's music.
@@qnebra Sad but true
@@uhFrex Also he does have three, four great, in your ears music moments per series. Those kind of moments where music was in spotlight, driving entire scene. I missed this.
Something I never realized with this scene was Jodie's doctor was wearing 11th's black coat with matching bowtie
Sounds better. Well done
👍👏
@@chriszone50 sorry if you misunderstood but I was saying that I liked that music with that scene also Aaron S used the John Simm's Master theme
This also conveys another problem in series 11 and 12: the music. Murry Gold just can't be beat!
This works soooo well
I hate everything about this scene but I’ve got to say this rescore makes it so much more watchable.
An improvement in my opinion
This track seems to fit with both him and Missy actually I think it would fit with any of the master's which I guess would kinda make sense.
I like the original scene, but this makes it even better
It fits perfectly
You don't think they're better 'till they're gone.
Can you please release an unscored version?
hi there! do you have this video but without the dialouges? it would be nice to make a voiceover...
Joaquín Ariel Hurtado Tapia It is literally called the Master Suite, or you could screen record this on full screen, add the Master Suite on iMovie, and add voiceover.
People are talking about the drums fitting with the master but that would only be for John Simm and before since John Simm's master ended that storyline in "The End of Time Pt. 2". Still like the rescore though.
The music's just a tad too loud for the voices at a few bits.
It's good, but Segun's music is better to my ears.
How these wooden vanilla companions sirvived this? Chibnail did must kill one of them by Master's hand
this has NO right to fit as well as it does.
WTF are you talking about...
Are you okay in the head?
Ikr. I gotta say, everything about this scene is just perfection
Ty fort this
Oh!
How do you remove the soundtrack they used?
A great CZcams channel called DWhoUnreleased has the unscored audio for every episode, I just removed the original audio with the actual soundtrack and then added & synced the unscored audio up with the scene itself! Here's the link to the unscored audio if you're interested :) czcams.com/video/cAZVZPOjy-w/video.html
Good fit indeed but it could had spoiled the twist in the episode any who fan would had known that music anywhere
Move out the way Chris Chibnal
He didn't do the music... Segun Akinola did
While I prefer Segun's, this one matches very well. Nice idea well made
I love the old master theme but it doesn't really fit
Perhaps, i don't get the point of Missy regenerating back into a man. Surprise, surprise the doctor is a woman now. Complete weird prediction of The Master being a woman, and then The Doctor just goes to that.
Great music. Sadly it doesn't improve the writing or overacting.
Not good
Not good....great 😂
Ew. You butchered this scene. The actual score fit perfectly. This just does not fit the energy of the scene at all.
u...u r joking right??? this makes the scene so much more entertaining
Incorrect.
@Emily Coleman how?
@Emily Coleman how does it not?
@Emily Coleman yeh that makes sense if Murray had stayed it would make more sense. n jeez i was only asking why you thought it calm tf down no need to be rude
Awfully miscast doctor and even worse master 🙄
i think Sasha dwanes master is one or the best things about the chibnal era can’t lie
@@madladconall279 I agree. I love the mix of madness to him, like Ainsley and Simms, but there are times he clearly channels Jacobi and Roberts in his intensity. When he was the 'Masterful Doctor', he really had found his own qualities too, and had a lot of intensity behind his performance.
