    The option for threaded below is for those who also bought the legs for the frame. You could then get to the underside easier. I’ve heard way too many complaints that those legs wobble too much tho, so you were better off building your own table.

    Run the vacuum outlet to the outside please. Early days but in a month the headaches from long periods of intense concentration, learning to learn again, will be gone and the journey begins. That’s been my experience anyway, for what it’s worth. It’s bloody exciting though, isn’t it?

    Thank you for sharing. I will be -exactly- in your shoes here in a couple weeks/months(?), and I appreciate your honest glimpse. Sub’d.

    why did you do a coolant flood when it looks like you have an air cooled spindle?

    • @xeontis
      @xeontis  Před rokem +1

      That's just native functionality of the Masso. Not sure if that screen is user configurable, haven't checked yet

      @xeontis ahhh. I just got the 2.2 air cooled from PWNCNC and haven't installed it yet, but was curious on the changes I will see in Masso

      The dust boots are plastic, so when you screw up, the pieces don’t destroy your spindle, and endanger you with flying metal.

    Is that the nighthawk dust boot? Happy with it?

    • @xeontis
      @xeontis  Před 28 dny

      yes, and yes. It's a good dust boot. I'm not a big fan of 3d printed parts so I ended wrapping it in carbon fiber which was probably completely unnecessary.

      @@xeontis thanks...if you had to pick between the spindle upgrade and and the massio controller upgrade which would you pick? I've got a onefinity 32x32 original unit with the makita router and I'm thinking of upgrade either the cnc or the spindle..

    • @xeontis
      @xeontis  Před 27 dny +1

      @bigdogmn73 that's a good question, I've not used the buildbotics version so I'm probably a little biased towards the masso. That being said I'd go masso first.

      @@xeontishow about little basic editing? The video was painful to watch. I appreciate the things I learned, but had to cringe a lot at the bad A/V and generally no story line to keep it flowing.

      @@xeontisdoesn’t need to be super polished, so not recommending that rabbit hole. As an example, when you’re trying to fit your brush on the spindle, either take the time to position camera well (and turn off collector) and show why it’s an issue to hookup (which would be super good for everyone with same one), or just cut out the segment showing your arm entirely and cut back in with a joke “I’m a newb, what can I say”. I really prefer the first route because it’s good to show our mistakes, but also good to shine them up as learning opportunities for both parties.
