- It's a big question, right? For anyone who's had any exposure to religion this question can feel challenging or if you endured religious trauma, triggering!
For me, the presence of creation is not some white man with a white beard and a staff (I sound like I'm describing Gandalf) but more an energy source of love and intelligence.

@@Tef1563 I'll be 77 in March and this was just what I needed to hear today. I've been deeply, profoundly spiritual for as long as I can recall, but I've felt for a long time that the traditional (white, male, angry, etc.) God was not for me. The kind of harsh judgementalism in which so many of his followers seemed to revel was repugnant to me. It made no sense to me that a deeply loving and tremendously creative being would ever want or need or demand such angry retribution on his children. So Nature became my god. OH--and I too loved Buffy and have every episode on DVD :D
Another almost 77 year old, who always felt that there was something missing with the traditional Christian practice I followed. I’m very grateful to have found that “God” is so much more than what traditional religion believes.
My disconnect with the church began in my 40s. I’ve been growing into accepting myself since. Re-training my inner knowing ever since. And still a work in progress at 63yrs young ♥️

This is what I believe, I have believed this since I was young. When I started going to church and they said, you have to do this or act this way of God will punish you, I was like wait a minute that is not true to me. So I left.
I was raised with a Christian belief because that's what my parents believed, although it was never forced on me. I still held this Christian belief up until my late 30s. I'm on a different spiritual path now and I use the term universe because I no longer resonate with the term God or religion 🙂
Kyle, I believe it is God and love or rigor. I believe in reincarnation, I am a spiritualist. I believe we are in the school of life learning to love. 🙏💗

I am totally with you, also from a very young age (74 now), and this freedom from religion has permitted me to explore others’ point of view in a very enriching way. For example, Kabbalah taught me that by naming “God”, you make it into a “thing”, when it really is a “verb”, a “being”…, creating… This is how it feels for me 🤩

The Universe is my God. For the longest time I thought I didn't have the right to believe in Angels because it is said they are the Christian God's "helpers" and I don't believe in the Christian God. I believe in our beautiful angels anyway. This was a great video and explanation Kyle.
Thank you so much. I have always believed in a higher power but not agreed with religious dogma about sin, purgatory etc. I call the presence Divine Spirit or Universal Energy that is in and around us and is pure love. 💜💜 I believe that if more people made a conscious effort to connect with this presence within, there would be no wars or strife.☯☮🕉
It's so nice to find someone that spoke the way I always felt. My religious upbringing was crucial because of my believing was different, but I dare not speak of it. In my forties I began looking into spirituality secretly because if or when I spoke of it I was told that the devil was working on me making me believe that. But inside I just knew there was more to it than my teachings. What always kept me in wonderment was if God's love is unconditional then how could he be a jealous and punishable and why did He set rules that was hard to follow. And another thing that puzzled me was if Jesus died for our sins then why do we get punished to fire and brimstone if we didn't follow the rules as we were told. It just didn't make sense to me.Needless to say I lived in fear because I knew I couldn't live up to the standards of my teachings and I was going to hell and burn eternally. Still today my siblings think I have it all wrong in how I feel. I got passed all their judgments along with plenty others who judges me to this day. I discovered you through Hay House looking for oracle cards and you opened doors for me in remarkable ways. I was always fascinated with Scotland and felt I had a past life there and then your accent was the frosting on the cake. I'm in my seventies and you're like a breath of fresh air. For someone so young to be so spiritual as you are, I knew it was no accident that the universe had something to do with it. Wayne Dyer and Louise Hay among others help me in finding myself, but you were like a direct line to what answers I needed most. The 1st deck I bought of yours was Gateway of Light Activation and it I thought nope, not for me because it didn't make sense, but by the second and third reading I was hooked because they were so deep and the answers I been searching for. So I bought more decks and am truly satisfied and grateful that the higher power knew what I needed and set you in my path. Keep up the good work. Love

Perfectly articulated as always Kyle! I was raised Catholic in Ireland bit when I started working with the angels in recent years I began to question it all. I believe in a high power and the vibration of pure love that is within us all😀
I believe we as individuals are the Higher Power. We create our own reality from our thoughts. It is also down to us what we believe in. We can choose to believe in God, The Universe, or Nothing. And we have that power. A belief is just a thought we think over and over, so we creating that belief. Energy can't be created or destroyed so I think maybe this is the Higher Power, as we are also Energy.
Have you been in contact with the writers from Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Seems it would be fascinating to talk with them about how they came to create the show. I know there are many movies and shows that people connect with on a spiritual level, and it makes me wonder about the source of their creation.

I was raised Catholic( parochial school) and in 7 th grade had a philosophical disagreement with my nun… I could not accept the beliefs as they didn’t resonate with me. At 16 I found unity church which changed my life. I believe as you do. Thank you for this video

Hi Kyle! You expressed so eloquently how I see The Universe, which to me is God. It took me decades for fully develop my true beliefs, but I have also always felt and talked to God, and I have known from a young age that it was not the God of the fundamentalist Christian culture in which I was raised. I do think that some people need a structured religion that tells them what to think, so I try to be respectful of their beliefs. Unfortunately, most religions do not extend that courtesy to those outside of their belief system.
I'm 77 and I'm still connected with the church but my belief in God is exactly as you put it. Thanks

Kyle, so wonderfully said. I now, at 71, believe as you. It took me a while to arrive here . Raised a catholic. After the loss of my Mom, I began searching for answers. Much of what I had been taught bout God, heaven ,hell.. didn't make sense anymore. A disconnect. Who is God really. I began reading about different religions spirituality, angels and spirit guides. I started down my spiritual awakening.We are a spark of the divine. With the help of people, such as youself, willing to share and teach we may understand how to love ourselves and others. Appreciate it as you continue to raise the vibration in our world. Thank you.💜
I was brought up as a catholic and it was unfortunately, force upon myself and my siblings. I felt lost growing up because I didn’t believe there was anyone like god. But in later life I changed in believing there is something out there and I feel so protected by it. Thank you Kyle ❤️❤️

I love every part of this. I truly believe in Jesus, and he is in me. We all have our own truth. I AM. Love is what it is all all about. God is the universe; God is everywhere, and we are him. The fact that God condemns and only loves us conditionally is not true. He is pure love. So are we if we feel this higher power.

I had to smile when your email with this landed in my inbox. I have had exactly this discussion with 2 friends in the past day, and have just started reading " god's message to the world, you've got me all wrong '. Although I felt I had explored my hang ups around god (initially a definite baby with bath water job) , I recently found I was still getting triggered by the word. I love this. I absolutely agree with you, and I have two opinions regarding this. One, is that God is exactly what you described, and two is that God is that who controls these infinite realities, which can be any one of us playing a computer game - or a Sims game for that matter 😅. I know it's weird, but I don't really believe there's a true definite answer to this, as I truly believe that everything is correct and incorrect at the same time.

Kyle, this is exactly how I feel too. Thank you for this video. I think many think Christian God is the correct God and that the Bible is the only teaching. Religion can connect a tribe of people but it divides cultures. I choose to be a spiritual person who expresses gratitude to the universe and recognizes our universal consciousness. That makes sense to me because it loving and inclusive

I grew up in a cult. I definitely do not believe in a god as our father in heaven. I don’t believe in a god that judges us or purposefully has us experience pain.
I believe in the power of nature and love. I believe in doing our best to assist each other through the challenges of life.

I become to realize this as my experience during the weeks before my grandmothers passing and without my awakening I would not have been able to get through my mother's sudden passing a couple months later.
I am a now a new person who is no longer lost and filled with such Devine love I never thought possible. I thank the universe for showing me my true me.
Dear Kyle, I love how expansive your experience of God is. I share a similar view. Recently I listened to Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsh and it taught me that God does not expect anything of us, that we are creators as is He/She, that the reason we exist is to experience ourselves as God. It blew my mind and helped me to accept what sometimes feels like ‘wrong’ decisions or experiences. What a beautiful answer, Kyle. Thank you! You perfectly described how I view my higher power. I rejected my Catholic upbringing as a young teen. I started questioning as an eight year old why babies who weren't baptized Catholic would go to Limbo, which was the same as Heaven, but they'd never see God. This didn't seem fair or reasonable. Decades later, the Church removed Limbo from its dogma. As I matured, I realized God's much bigger than that. That Source loves all Earth's children. That we're in Earth School to learn and follow our higher power's will for us. I resumed meditation in Jan. 2020, which helped me receive direct messages and support. I learned to enter the Akasha for deeper dives and to notice frequent signs that I am supported. I channel healing energy and understand my purpose is to receive, be and spread light and love. Thank you for teaching me how to pray in gratitude as if my prayers have been answered. I've grown to pray to many ascended beings, use your Oracle cards daily, and have a relationship with one of my spirit guides, who revealed to me their name as a Lemurian. We've astral traveled to his home twice. Pretty powerful stuff. I appreciate your role in my spiritual growth. Thanks, again. And so it is! ✨🙏🤍

I am a newly investigative devotee of the Vendanta Society and what you have just said, rings so true to the teachings of Ramakrishna and Vivekanada...all paths lead to the same thing, the same road -I enjoy this discussions because I think our world religions are failing us!
When I was younger I couldn't relate to a loving male deity due to my experience of difficult father relationships. My god was feminine and connected to mother earth. Then I discovered gaia it all fitted for me.
My experience of pscyhodelics has enhanced my awareness of oneness and a loving source that wants the best for us. Soul, body, mind and all connected. ❤ love is the highest vibration anything less is a distraction from our true essence and our connection to source. Mr God this is Anna, a book I read many moons ago had a very powerful influence on me and was the beginning of my relationship with a more benign caring creator.
I respect all religions because I do believe it is a refuge where people find peace, prayer, love, and protection. However, I believe in a God like you described in your video. I have since I was five (I'm almost 70). I remember asking a lot of questions when I went to cathechism class. I was told to shut up and to memorize what I was being taught. Needless to say, my questions went unanswered. By the age of 14, I left the Catholic Church and I was told I was destined to go to hell. I didn't believe that either. That's exactly how I feel, I never felt like I fitted in with the C of E church I attended, or the Catholic education I had from 5 till 11 years, my paternal grandparent was a quaker and mum was Weslian chapel I knew there was a God but not the judgemental one taught in Sunday school. A spark of that devine which is me and I know I'll return to source and see my family again.
I totally relate to what you said. I was raised Roman Catholic in the USA East coast. Went to church every week. But when I got older...in my late teens, the dogma that was associated with this Church didn't resonate with me-in fact, I was horrified by the things they hid from us including and not limited to child molestation. I do believe in God...although I prefer to use "Spirit" or "Universe" and I also believe in Jesus, although my thoughts on him are slightly different than what I was taught. These are just a few things...I could go on....the bottom line is is if you can get something out of any religion/religious practice, than I'm very respectful of that. I only ask for people to be as respectful of MY often "outside of the box" beliefs that mean a lot to me.

As soon as I seen the title of this video I watched straight away. I went into anti gay conversion therapy program when i came out as a teenager. The church I was involved with wasn't the biggest fan of homosexuality so I grew up with fear regarding my sexuality. I've just recently returned back to church which I'm enjoying. I do believe in God, I still do believe in a fear based God which I hope changes for me.
