Coinbase is marketing to those who are completely new to crypto and Kraken isn't really similarly catering to that market IMO so far. Another problem with ETORO is that it isn't in the US.

I have been swing trading on Coinbase Pro for a few months and yesterday, I did it on Kraken Pro. On Kraken Pro, there are a lot more options to purchase and to sell. Yesterday, I doubled my money trading Bitcoin, using a Stoploss and it was fast and easy to edit it as the price went up and I didn't have to worry about getting rug pulled and not able to sell my positions fast enough. The thing I like about Coinbase pro more than Kraken pro was volume and the trading view charts reflecting it. On Kraken pro, the lack of volume literally shows a line. Coinbase just seems to freeze. Also, I have experienced technical issues with Coinbase on multiple occasions, which is why I decided to use Kraken Pro. Customer Service on both platforms is decent, but Kraken was easier and I was able to have a very fast response time on X. Still using both, but if I had to choose, I would go with Kraken Pro because of the Coinbase glitches.

what about fees when transferring to cold wallets, is Kraken a lot cheaper than Coinbase for that as well?

Isn’t it a little risky to not have the FDIC Insurance? I’m in the US

Of course. It's also risky putting money in banks. Go look up very recent articles (as of June 2024) about Banks preventing customers from withdrawing their money

Coinbase is not FDIC insured, the banks in which they use are. So in the event of a hack, if your funds were at said bank, then whatever portion they held would be insured. BUT, your digital assets as you understand then are not directly FDIC insured.
And IDK who needs to read this but if someone is withdrawing 100k or more daily on a crypto exchange, they ain’t on CZcams.

is Ethana custody WIRE (one of the pay services on Kraken) safe. I hear people complaining about long wait and lost money. I cant use E transfer cause I'm in Canada. E transfer only works in Canada but not from U.S to Canada. Also on Kraken there is no direct bank deposit which mean nothing more but extra expenses.
