    This is so useful since no one just works with one rig only, you constantly switch between rigs. This is a time saver

    I know I'm late, but this also works to switch objects in sculpt mode and edit mode, and I'm guessing the other modes are a safe bet too. Now when I sculpt, I use a bunch of dyntopo objects to distinguish different parts (which is really good for formations that jut out and leave the normals kind of perpendicular, where brush strokes on one object would risk smoothing or cutting in too much)
    Also I noticed you manually switch modes, but if you get in the habit of holding control tab for the pie menu it makes things way faster. And for anybody saying shortcuts are just too different, think of the time to build the habit versus the accumulative difference of every change

  • @dgreenspino
    @dgreenspino Před 4 měsíci

    This is great! I can't seem to get this working though. Does this work in Blender 4? Is there a way I can find it in the keymap section? If I do a key-binding search for "Q" I don't see pose mode short cuts.

    • @CGDive
      @CGDive  Před 4 měsíci +1

      It should still work. The only thing to watch out for is to not be in x-ray mode in the viewport. For some reason it doesn't work with x-ray.
      Edit: oh, the shortcut seems to be for "Transfer Mode" under "Object Non-modal".

    • @CGDive
      @CGDive  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Good question. Make sure that x-ray is off in the viewport. That prevents this trick from working correctly for some unknown reason. There may be other reasons but that is the one I know of.
