    the inspiration burning is so accurate

  • @Marinealver
    @Marinealver Před 4 měsíci +4

    So the word vigilante came from Rome where they were the watchmen and firefighters. However many did "rescue" precious items from burning buildings over fighting fires. Corruption was so bad that some of them did start fires just to liberate the jewelry.
    So this is historically accurate.

    • @zachary3367
      @zachary3367 Před 3 měsíci

      Nero of Rome made the first of what we know as firefighters, the idea was theyd come while your house was burning but would not help until a price was agreed upon, considering the time sensitive nature of a house fire and all most would agree to any price to save their loved ones and property.
      Id never heard of fires being deliberately set though or thefts, i can believe both happened just never read about it, it does seem strange theyd bother to rob anyone when they were basically being paid to put the fire out with whatever sum of money they thought they could get away with though.

      @@Feralsquirrel Ah true true. Still hoarding the corpses is helpful if you use a lot of necromancy, and rotten food can be great for anything not immune to poison with the right build.

  • @SerialSnowmanKiller
    @SerialSnowmanKiller Před 25 dny

    I mean, Gale only consumes three magic items, and there are LOTS of useless or near-useless items for him to consume in Act 1. Going into my first playthrough, Gale's reputation in the community had me convinced that I'd need to constantly drip-feed him magic items throughout the game, so I hoarded everything I could find that had the descriptor 'Gale can eat this item.'

    I know just the weapon for the Dark Urge Barbarian: A hammer you can get in Act 1, it is called Hamarhraft, whenever a player using the hammer (maul) JUMPS anything in the area around where they land takes 1d4 of Lightning damage! DarkBarb could become a *TRUE* menace with him doing damage just by jumping!
