  • Apologies for the longer than usual delay between videos. I, Angus, had a some what painful learning experience with the correct use of sound sources with the software I recently started using.
Jeff and I continue on our voyage of discovery into Rudolf Steiner's transformational book "Christianity As Mystical Fact: And the Mysteries of Antiquity". We look at the historical vs the mystical significance of stories from the Gospels. The significance of mystery schools in the ancient world

So happy to see this today! Want to say because of this place ESaB I had followed Interdisciplinary Astronomy with Matt and all of them are so great! John Vervaeke as well amongst others...has been seamless in enrichment as a musical turnover
I have to say being here is heartwarming and like coming back to home. Thank you guys for your insight and what you do.
Also, Jeff I love the logo yet I wear State on occasion ❤.
Angus the arch pictures stand out the most in every painting

It's a shame there was a technical difficulty with the last instalment of this series but once again you two bring mystical facts alive. I do believe that all those warnings that Steiner gave us in his lectures are manifesting themselves because we as a society, have doubled down on our belief of the material and since we prioritize the good life the merchant can gives us, we neglect other aspects of reality and this will result in a collective suffering that will tear apart those souls who have not initiated any supersensible understanding of reality. There is an upside to it though because those souls have Rabbis in you both that know the forth Rabbi's insight. One critique on the video and that is if you could turn up your microphone a little Angus to match Jeff's that would be perfect because I have to turn up my speaker and Jeff comes on and blows the doors of my metaphysical ears....Thanks to you both.

Ah this is great! I am come to swim again in the waters of Steiner, I needed a little rest recently. But i am struck by how he points again to how it is not ~not~ history, and it is mystical truth as well. The mystical became fact! I dont want to only translate the bible to find its supersensible meaning, but accept the sensible, apparent, empirical truth of it too. Its a yes AND experience we must live into, which I think must be the way of spiritual thinking, because it makes me so joyous.

    More thoughts on fig trees:
Figs flower inwardly, the fruit of a fig tree is really an inverted bloom thay eventually matures into the fruit. The pollination of a fig tree requires the sacrifice of its pollinator, the wasp laying eggs within and then not being able to escape. I think you can really see how the symbol of the fig tree is not at arbitrary, that technical mystical language is necessarily connected with the sensible reality of the subject. A fig tree flowers inward, the revelation of Buddha is an expression of this. But this kind of revelation cannot bare fruit anymore.

Ahhhhhhhhhh. The mystery of the pollination of the fig is such an amazing processes. In it there is the deeper mystery of the splitting of the sexes. No wonder it is found in the story of the Garden of Eden.

More thoughts on illness and healing:
Illness must, at least I am convinced currently, be a much different process on beings with awakened I consciousness. Illness is now an opportunity to strengthen, a condensation of the ego. Rather than merely a karmic reflection of a persons soul(astral) nature, as i am sure it often is to this day in many cases. But the mystery of illness and healing has been transformed since Christ. The mystery of suffering and incarnation, completely different now that God has entered into tha experience. A lot of homeopathy is about reminding the ego of strengthening and overcoming, and that is why it so often works.
In my naturopathic course i am taking, a lot of the philosophy is still ancient, Greek, Indian, Oriental. These systems still believe in the continuity of the soul with nature, and though they often work, in the modern context I am uncomfortable with the the way it demonises illness and suffering, and when illness is demonised it becomes either a punishment or a weakness.
homeopathy is essentially Christian, and sees illness in the light of that mystery, and acknowledges the I Am of the patient. Maybe not your average practitioner, but Hanneman certainly saw his practice as working with the Logos of each individual.

Yes the soul and nature is continuous, but the I is a new organising factor, that individualises the beings biography. So much of homeopathy is biography work.
