    For those more curious about student life, at some of the uni’s you can join individual clubs and groups, which are great! They(in normal times) can organise things such as ‘sittningar’, which are like sit down dinners combined with parties. They usually have a theme of some kind and have traditional games played during the event, mostly themed around drinking, but alcohol is completely optional as you chose yourself what you want to drink. You do pay to get a seat at a sittning, and that fee covers the food and drink etc, and they aren’t often just for the members of the club/group organising them, so you can go to one even though you’re not a member.

    Awesome video Sanna.
    I'm mayoring in master of science in engineering. My brain gets kind of numb after many hours of studying. But when i recover after a break or a good sleep i feel fresh and more potent then previews days/weeks. That's the kind of compensation i get when i study alot.

    Hi! I really appreciate the time and effort you put into making this video, for those of us who are looking into Studying in Sweden. You have helped me continue to get a better idea of what this might look like as an international student and I thank you for that. I did want to ask however, what's the average number of programmes one studies while in uni? In the states, generally we must get alot of useless credits, that have nothing to do with our degree out of the way first. Is it like this in Sweden as well, or are the programmes you apply for all that is necessary? Thank you once again for your input on this subject!

    • @egel7736
      @egel7736 Před 2 lety +2

      Hi, Bren!
      I'm not a student in Sweden (yet), but I study at a university in The Netherlands, and overall bachelor's or master's degrees in the EU are incredibly similar structure-wise, as is required by European law. As far as I know, most students in Sweden will (just like most other European university students) follow just one programme at a time. This programme should be seen as a bundle of required courses to get your degree, which means you don't need to follow any extra courses or get any extra credit to get that diploma.
      Hope this helps!

    Hi! I was just wondering how competitive the application pool is for Swedish universities, and which universities someone with an average grade average could get accepted to?
    I'm American and am currently enrolled in a private American university, but I've taken a gap year so I haven't technically started university yet. I'm considering, however, not attending the university I'm committed to in favor of studying in Sweden. In high school, I was a very mediocre student because I fooled around a lot and didn't do my work, but I'd say I'm relatively intelligent so my grades do not reflect my skills. I was just wondering if you or anyone scrolling through the comments could help me see what chances I have as an international student.
    Tack!
