The Appalachian trail has had a few murders, if I recall from the book A Walk in the Woods, so I wouldn’t put it past those murders causing the spirits to be bound to this plane because they have either chose to remain in order to protect any potential victims or else because their killer has never been caught. That’s just a theory of mine. I’ll need to do research to dig up the names of murder cases that occurred in the Appalachian trail.
Sometimes the murderer or murderer get trapped in the same location as their victims. 👍🏻

Trowbridge Falls, Centennial Park, YQT...a ghost that tosses dogs into trees, pushed people off the trail from behind, beat a guy up bad, and likes to spook couples in cars at night in the parking lot...

1000 years on Earth . It could be one of the actual signs ,but it could be 2 days in HEAVEN meaning 2000 years in Human earth years. OR more OR less .
