This film was my absolute favourite at a child growing up. Can't wait to see it in 4k
This film is not without its merits. The matte paintings are excellent. The costumes of the priestesses are exquisite. Bridget Nielsen actually doesn't do a very bad job considering it was literally her first rule and she had never before acted. If you accept it for what it is it's a thoroughly enjoyable movie

G’day from Down Under, I’m really looking forward to this release. Red Sonja is an underrated sword and sorcery film with some fine action sequences and an impressive soundtrack. Can’t wait to get this on 4K. Stay Gold, Australia’s Retro Man.

Have you seen the yellow tint on the new 4K Cat's Restoration? Why do they do these things.
@@Marvdogger2 yeah it’s such a bummer. Keep it natural and people will always be happy, adding tints and stylised colour grading on old films never looks good. I don’t understand the thought process behind it.

Totally Especially films from the 80s there are plenty of vhs, laserdiscs, dvds and prints for them to look at and people still ling to consult about the correct colour timing.

I don't know what it is, Studiocanal has a few really great 4K transfers, but I've noticed a lot of their recent releases have had the over the top teal/orange colour grade that's popular with modern films. I think their colourist is taking a little too much creative liberty, I don't know what else it would be because as you say, the reference material is there.
They couldn't upload the trailer in 4k? It looks more like a regular blu-ray to me at this resolution.
