Low poly Elephant Metal Sculpture with Stainless Steel Tusk using Stick welding

  • This low poly elephant sculpture is made of mild steel, and the tusk is made of 304-grade stainless steel. The surface has been powder coated with dark grey powder and the reason for doing that is to maintain a dark and light transition. It took 16 days to build this sculpture working 10-12 hrs a day. There are a few areas that are quite complex to weld. The difficulty of these projects is that when the sculpture went to the completion stage it was much harder to align those individual pieces to weld them together.

    That's crazy. Impressive stick welding on such thin material. If you get a minute, look up the Mothman statue in Point Pleasant West Virginia. 👍🍻
