Don't forget how much noise they can make shaking their enclosure for attention. Or throwing their bowl around. Or digging at you in bed when they think it's time for pellets at 4 am. Then if you ignore said digging, rabbit revenge pees at edge of bed. That's why rabbit is perma-banned from bedroom.

@@sassycat6487 The breed of rabbit she was never reaches 4lbs, as is common for small breeds. My girl was 2lb and they usually max out at 2.5lb. You get dwarf breeds that sometimes never even reach 2lb and are spayed perfectly safely. My current girl is going to get spayed at the end of June and she is currently about 2.2lb. Same breed, Polish rabbit. they can reach 3lb sometimes but neither my boy or girls have reached that much. Because there are so many small and dwarf breeds, 4lb is just unattainable to most of them to that info seems incorrect to me. I was basically in that 1% that has a fatal outcome. No kidding! One of my rabbits also jumped into the toilet. He didn't even try to get out, he started drinking it. He and his sister had escaped from their room when I opened the door and he ran all the way down the hall to the bathroom while I was distracted retrieving his sister. You can imagine I had to carefully sponge wash his feet and butt off cause gross. He has also gotten up to the sink somehow. Once jumped into a small trash can that I had used to clean their room of soiled hay and was just sleeping in there when I walked in. He has even jumped, unprompted, onto my bent over back while I was sweeping their room. He did a little periscope to see if he could get higher somehow. And I'm like, "I'm not a jungle gym, fuzzball. Get off." That's why his name is Ryu from Ninja Gaiden. We refer to him and his sister Val as the gremlins because they just cause mayhem.

I guess I just got lucky in the bunny gatcha. Winter's been pretty much by my side since the moment I picked him up. He often jumps on the bed to wake me up if I oversleep to feed him, we hang out on the floor, and all that. He's not even a year old. But then, he has access to most of the apartment and runs around whenever he wants. I figured it might be tough to bond with him when I first got him, but he really surprises me. Even the vet was surprised at how calm and collected he is.

Easy. Fill some water bottles and stick them in the freezer. Once frozen, put one in the bunny habitat. Maybe cover it with a washcloth or something, but leave it for bunny to lie against. You can also put a little ice in bunny's water. Put an oscillating fan in the area, not directly at bunny, but somewhere where it can keep air circulating. If it's really hot though, you might want to just consider moving bunny to an air conditioned space.

Myth 5: Rabbits are easy to care for.
    Reality; It depends.
Personally I don't find them to be that particularly demanding or even high maintance. If anything, if I had to compare them with another animal, I would say that both cats and dogs are arguably a lot more work and maintance than a rabbit, not that I find any of them particularily difficult to care for. The supposed myth that rabbits are easy to care for is really a matter of perspective and if you ask me, I'd say they're honestly quite easy.
Of course it wouldn't do to use my experiences and skills along with knowledge as a blanket statement for all pet rabbits. Your mileage may vary.

Then again, I did quite a bit of research after getting Tu Shen. >.> I think the vet costs would be the most expensive thing for a rabbit, depending on location. I'm temperature sensitive like rabbits, so I have to keep my bedroom/rabbit space (my bedroom is their space) at a level that won't overheat them or put me in the hospital.

I have the same problem with some of my rabbits, but I think I figured out why, at least partly: They're bored. Provide other things to chew on and play with. And spend as much time as you can with him, even if its just a few minutes at a time. For the flooring, you can get stuff that is softer but okay to chew like cardboard or seagrass mats which also help with boredom. My bunny Mallow loves to tear apart cardboard for fun and as a result he leaves the shag carpet alone.

If you see him chewing try tempting him with something else, my rabbits love meadow hay cookies or loo roll tubes stuffed with hay are a good option too.

This isn’t really a question about the topics you’ve mentioned, but im getting a wee bit confused trying to find the answer on my own 🙈 so here goes: i have a 10 month old neutered male bun, and I’ve been searching for a friend to adopt without any luck, which has led me to get a baby bunny as a friend for him. I won’t be keeping them together until i can get the baby bunny neutered, so the question is; should i keep them in separate rooms? Is it okay to have the baby’s playpen close to my other bun, or should they just not meet/ see each other at all for the first months? I really hope someone, anyone can share some answers with me 😭

It's okay to have them near each other. Sometimes that can actually help because there is some amount of socialization that can happen when they are able to see each other.

That's actually how I start the bonding process with my rabbits, it's actually a good way to socialise them without them fighting over territory.

Even a tiny amount of carrot gives one of my rabbits diarrhea. Just him. No other veggies or fruit do that to him. The other rabbits handle it fine. Each individual bun can have different likes and sensitivities. I have one bun that won't eat anything other than pellets and hay.

can you make a video on rabbit sounds? My bunny made a popping noise sort of with a head twitch, and i dont know what that is.

It's definitely on my list, I've just been having a lot of difficulty recording the sounds rabbits make since they are so quiet. A popping noise doesn't seem like a common noise I've heard of. Unless it was just your rabbit's teeth clacking together? sometimes that can happen.

It might have been a sneeze. I asked the vet about this and it turns out that my rabbit was sneezing because he was getting hay dust up his nose.
