The son's eyes lighting up when jerma acts proud of him is unreasonably emotional, please help me stop caring so much about drawings. Please I don't want to be, for example, on a road trip with only a barrel of gasoline and slowly losing my mind.

The dad going "you got it! thats my son!" to the kid guessing the wrong thing was weirdly wholesome.
Actually it was sunset in the original video, so the sky was orange - he did get it right!

Stuff like this always gives me hope for Jerma fans. Actually animating Jerma's bits and not making him seem like the crazed narrator of his insanity are the coolest kind of Jerma animations.

oh my god the little foot wag after he got it right is adorable
I would love to watch an entire movie based around this premise, of an unhinged dad and his son surviving a quiet apocalypse, driving to a never-explained destination in a worn car filled with supplies and gasoline. It ends with the dad finally tracking down the ruins of the crashed UFO, looking back to tell his son about the amazing discovery, only to see his son was never there, zoom out to desert wasteland, fade to black.

The radio playing in the background is the best. Having those voices say "Ich muss ganz dringend Pipi machen" (I have to take a pee really badly ) whilst Jerma is just roleplaying two people at the same time is an experience on its own. The animation is another. Great job.

He's such a good actor that I started feeling bad for the kid
Jerma is a genuinely good actor, the fact he can juggle 2 characters at once and still make it sound (semi) natural, and how he just makes shit up on the spot too is all super impressive
I don't know if you purposely made him Green because it sounds like his Mr. Green character but this is wonderful.

Great content. I'm a Jerma animatic/animation addict I just can't get enough of this stuff, his humor is so perfect for animation since it's a lot of hypotheticals and sound effects which leaves a ton of room for the animators to be creative.
This bit already had me breathless but your art added just enough unnerving to have me practically cry laughing.

I like to imagine this as a legitimate horror movie you could see in theaters: a man dealing with the PTSD of losing his son, while being off his psych meds and high on gasoline
The fact that this reminds me of my childhood is very troubling
I love the way the dad's glasses are animated -- I know it's been done in lots of animation in the past, but the fact that they stand in for pupilless eyes when on model and how they move around accordingly (like with the UFO passing overhead) really helps give off that half-sane vibe compared to the more typically-designed kid
I think it's mostly in the lack of pupils -- usually with those sorts of designs, like with Dexter, you'll get the pupil bouncing around inside the frame of the glasses, but here they're just blank and it really helps sell it, yet even without the pupil you can tell where the line of sight is
The German radio station really ties the insanity together well

As a German, I found the German radio in the beginning really funny.
This was my favorite part of the stream by far. I like to think this was why Long Drive won stream of the year, and you managed to capture it so perfectly. Thank you :^)
him holding back a laugh while saying "oh my God!" made it sound so much more convincing. like the son was actually horrified at his dad spinning his head like Beetlejuice.
The whole video was great but the Beetlejuice moment in particular made me bust a gut. Great job.
My dad has real bad schizophrenia and is in special care now, but a lot of this waa disturbingly accurate. He'd hear or see things that weren't there, and that's why the ufo part hit so hard
It's like these games are scripted for him. The chance that a UFO would show up in the middle of this bit.
I’m convinced this was the stream where he finally lost his mind. The hot sun of the Nevada desert numbed his last working brain cells and to help himself feel better started talking to his “son” in the back of the car which all along was the remaining but dwindling sanity of the man which he once was.
i love that dad jerma is kind of insane but still clearly cares for and loves his son, its endearing
