I have been using it for a few weeks for WebEx and voice overs having loop backs makes it easy to quickly change sources, interject sound effects, and keep sound levels balanced. I love it!

thanks for this, but my interface doesn't have Loopback 1, 2 as in yours. It says Virtual A, B. Is this because of the new software.
Thank you for your review. I am preparing to hook up with a blue yeti mic and magix music maker. You obviously have a real humdinger of an outfit there. I have had all my equipment for five years sitting idle. Thought I might get into voice overs, and some news casting. Have a good one.

This looks really good. My real problem with the Blue Yeti that I use currently is the lack of virtual mixing options for podcasting/streaming etc.
Just need to check out how much it’s going to hurt my wallet!
You can always process in post with a Blue Yeti
@@MikeRussell Very true. However, remote podcasting at the minute is a case of using discord and then OBS to record both sides, then Premiere Pro to strip out the audio, then Audition to post. Would be helpful if I could just record straight to Audition. I tried VoiceMeeter, but the recording was terrible!
You could try using Cleanfeed to record?
@@MikeRussell I hadn’t thought of that. A quick google and it appears that Cleanfeed has multitrack support as well.

@@MikeRussell Oh, so they are brand new. I have the open back 250 ohm headsets and they work perfect for me. I know I was suggested by you and a few others to get the closed version, but the open backs don’t transfer any sound to my microphone and it really does work great and I prefer it anyway. Thanks again for all the tidbits of video help!
Anyone remember there was an episode of the Rugrats where Stu invented one of these and Angelica used it to impersonate her mom on the phone and order hundreds of dollars worth of food? If you don't know what I'm talking about, it was a cartoon on Nickelodeon in the 90's, about talking babies.

Super dumb question, I think, how do you know what you actually want to hear from a mic as a narrator/VO actor? I have no idea how I'd "like" to sound besides not cheap. Lol
I think to answer that question you'd need to look at voice coaching. As a producer or a voice over artist you need to have an appreciation of sound and you'll learn that from voice coaching.

I’d recommend recording vocals dry and you can manipulate them in post production.

This isn't software, this is hardware as it's a mic.

This microphone is not specifically designed for iPhone. You may be able to get it to work using a Lightning hub but there is no guarantee
Check out country artist Alli Walker video. She has the mic plugged straight into her iPhone. Sounds great.

Depends on where you get it from in general. UK £100, US approx $150 - very decent price!

I would suggest this may not be the mic for you if you’re looking to record studio quality sung vocals
