I am glad that you had fun with this one! This was one of my older designs that still holds up now; it is not overly complex, but when all the features are put together, it just works. I think you did just fine in the " punch/cutting" for someone less experienced in it. I think that is the beauty of a push dagger in general. Well done on the lore implementation!
It's a cool piece. Nice punch stabs and cuts you showed there. It's difficult to tell the size until you handle it on screen, it's almost a push-gladius. These daggers/katars/push-knives Bro Nate designs are often enormous comparing to their original inspirations, but usually rather lightweight and easy to handle for the sizes.
this type of design will make a convenient boot knife as well

There's some pretty silly laws regarding pretty random blade types.
