In order to oil pull, take two teaspoons of sesame, coconut, or olive oil and lightly swoosh in your mouth for 10- 20 minutes a day.
It's been shown to help tooth decay, bleeding gums, naturally whiten teeth, strengthen your jaw muscles, cleanse your mouth, kill bad bacteria, and even support weight loss.
Afterwards, spit the oil out, rinse your mouth with water, and brush your teeth as normal. Perform this routine every day for two weeks and then just twice a week.

    Hi everyone,
This is for those people who are thinking whether or not it works.
My story: I was suffering from sensitivity/gum disease for 6 long years, and finally decided to try oil pulling using coconut oil. To be honest, first 3 weeks I didn't get any results and I lost all hopes and about to give up!!
Since I bought a expensive coconut oil bottle and decided to finish it, that's when miracle happened. Trust me, after 2 months I am not at all experiencing sensitivity or any gum issues. Thanks to all those positive people in the youtube who helped me to believe that it works!!

This works! In 2016, I had severe gum issues. My jaw felt as though it was almost wired shut, I could barely open my mouth to speak. I oil pulled with coconut oil ( I don't remember the particular brand) once/twice daily for about a week. I thought oil pulling wouldn't be able to help and I almost gave up because the pain persisted. Then out of nowhere within that time I was able to speak and eat normally.
    I highly recommend oil pulling.

I vouch for this. I’ve recently been oil pulling everyday with coconut oil, I use raw organic cold pressed coconut oil (1 tablespoon first thing in the morning for 20 mins) then rinse with water, clean my tongue with a tongue scraper, brush then floss, rinse out again. I found this more effective to do it first thing in the morning as apparently that’s when you have more bacteria in your mouth.
My mouth feels incredibly clean! My teeth have actually gone whiter by a lot. I definitely suggest it to anyone who is curious to try. I didn’t think it would do much but it definitely improved my oral hygiene for sure. Works incredible well alongside a tongue scraper

I do brush my teeth religiously two times a day but tend to skip the flossing which is probably the root cause. Pulling coconut oil is fixing my receded gums. The main thing I use to measure is I have a bottom front tooth that has it's root showing. It's my worst tooth as far as gum recession. The root section is almost halfway closed up from where it was 3 weeks ago. I think it'll be completely healed within a couple months. I also feel I should add within that time I've stopped smoking, drinking, and eating junk food. Before that I was on a relatively healthy diet aside from eating sweets. My diet is now mainly vegetables and fruits, maybe meat 2-3 times a week, very rarely do I eat grains, no sweets. I'm sure those factors help as well but the oil pulling is the star of the show.

I use organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and puncture a capsule of oregano oil and add that to the mix. My gums have gone from REALLY BAD (dark red and tons of blood when brushing and flossing) to EXCEPTIONAL (light pink and no more bleeding). This took only about a week to pull off, and now it's just maintenance. Oil pulling has upgraded my dental care routine in a huge way, because it helps keep me on top of the morning and night brushing. I also soak my brush heads in isopropyl alcohol to make sure they're not holding any bacteria. Looking forward to my dentist's reaction when i go on for a cleaning!

Oil pulling is great. Personally I use coconut oil. Before you oil pull, make sure your stomach is empty so the best time is in the morning when you wake up! I've been doing this for almost a year and my mouth feels so clean. Some days I don't even feel like brushing my teeth anymore because it feels clean. I haven't had any dental problems this year except for when I chipped my tooth. Haha.

For almost two weeks I suffered with severe pain and took heavy dose pain killers, while I was waiting to see an endodontist. Doc said I have to spend $2000 for root canal and crowns.
Then I followed these home remedies for 1 month:
    1) Clove oil n Garlic mix before dinner- put directly on the tooth. Bite it n hold for 15min. Spit it out and rinse with regular water. Do NOT brush/rinse with any chemicals/acidic. Then I ate dinner. By the time I finished dinner the smell faded out. It worked for me.
    2) Coconut oil pulling ever day morning. If you have severe cold/cough don’t do oil pulling. Also don’t do Choirs/workout while oil pulling. It’s very important that you stay focused and relaxed. There are studies that small oil particles end up in lungs. So don’t contribute to that theory.
    3) Apple cider vinegar rinse- after breakfast, lunch or snack or munch. I’ll Never use chemicals like Listerine again.
    4) Floss twice a day- morning n night
    5) tooth brush “gently” twice a day with very very little toothpaste.
    6) Charcoal n Salt mix ever Alternate day - slowly rub on the gums. This is also a very good idea as it effectively reduces acid levels and prevents enamel corrosion. It also helps as tooth whitener.
It worked and I promised myself I’ll never sleep without flossing. I’ll always rinse my mouth every-time I eat or drink.

To all reading this: DO THIS! I've been oil pulling on and off for a year. Although my teeth haven't whitened as much as I hoped, I absolutely can't live without it. Maybe it hasn't been studied enough; maybe it's only minimally effective accd'g to dental science, but all I know is, when I oil pull, my mouth feels like I just left the dentist. That feeling, only better. I find 21 minutes, not 20, is optimal for me. Every time I oil pull, my mouth feels that clean - so we're talking every day, if you choose to do it that often. Of course, I brush and floss afterwards. Don't spit in your drain; your plumber will hate you. And when you rinse your mouth with water afterwards, spit that in the garbage, too, because it still puts oil in the drain. And don't worry, you won't be tempted to swallow. I can't say enough about it - cheap, effective, do it while you're watching TV, and your mouth feels fantastic. It's worth it for that alone.

How long do you wait till you ate or drank anything? And did you do this at night or in the morning? If at night, do you have to do on an empty stomach? Thanks in advance!
