- If you've mounted your TV, it's a great opportunity to free up space by getting rid of the furniture your TV used to set on. But you may be wondering - what should I do with my TV components like my cable box or Blu-ray player?
Good news, you have options. One of those is to install a media shelf directly below your TV. The shelf shown in the video is made of tempered glass and can hold up to 15 lbs. A second shelf can be added to the set up for additional components.
The installation is quite easy - the shelf can be mounted into studs or directly into drywall without studs.

It's 4 years old but still helpful ❤️thanks from your Jamaica 🇯🇲 queen ‼️
GREAT VIDEO I LOVED IT!!! EVERYTHING I WAS LOOKING FOR. I love how you broke down how to do the job and it's who you needed required for the job because a lot of people going to a job and not ask questions
What size drill bit did you use because my anchors don't fit in the hole, the hole isn't big enough
How do you take it off if you need to take a cord out
Any such mount which is not so deep?
How many components can it hold?
This comes with all the hardware? How about the drill bit
What about a corner mount? I need one that faces out from the corner.
How do you take these out without destroying the drywall? These seem to be permanent once the wings come out in the back of the drywall you are done for.
Not to worry. When you install this into a stud, you just need to unscrew your wall plate- no damage done!
+SANUS - If I use a stud, it would be off to the left or right of the TV, plus the holes for the wall plate are too far apart for a stud. I decided to use the drywall anchors shown in this video, but I dread the day when I need to move. I fear they will create a large hole coming out that I cannot easily fix.
@@Khaltazar You need to learn how to spackle. It's very easy. Fill the hole using the spackle and a putty knife. After it dries, sand it. Then paint. And you're done. I am consistently amazed how many people don't know basic house keeping stuff like fixing holes.
What is the name of this product?
Great
How about the cables? are they going to be hanging? will be better to show how to hide the cables behind the wall.

Anchors are bad idea on drywall. I prefer toggle bolts
I've never found a plastic wall anchor that didn't have an issue. I usually end up having to drill the hole bigger and fit the toggle bolts. That said, installing ANY shelf into a drywall/plaster wall is always problematic if you can bump the shelf.
So $70 and the cables still show 😭
Ooof
Shelving on drywall supported by anchors. This is the time when you make a video and not follow the instructions step by step. Zippits would've been more sturdy than that. I have a home theater receiver and the only way I trust a shelf that's gonna support that kind of weight is by mounting it with toggle bolts or simply find the stud. Nice video though. At least it'll stay up there long enough for you to get paid and get home.
Hi Joe Momma, We have tested this shelf to hold up to 4x the recommended weight limit so it will be safe and secure with the anchors. Hope this gives more reassurance!
🙄🙄,you right.he should go home with that.
My blue ray got more weight and can’t go with that shelf on a dry wall
Or use the drywall anchors that are actually large screws, that cut into the drywall as you screw them in. Then the metal screws go into those. They support 50 pounds and I use them for books.
@@rem45acp they're called zippits.
Why wouldn’t you tell your customers the Bit Size your using? That’s very important!! We’ll spend more time trying to figure this information out then actually installing the damn Thing! IJS
