Thank you!! Yeah I made an error and didn’t account for the blue ray player height (so had to re drill holes 1 in higher)....but now hopefully someone else can learn from my mistake.
Is it just me??.. but this mount didn't line up with my wall studs.. my 2x4s are not how the instructions depict... in fact I have never seen any construction where the wide face of the stud faces towards the sheet rock...
Yeah the two on the left are in the stud. The two on the right are drywall mounted because the stud is not wide enough to get all 4 into the stud. If this was planned before drywall went up a support could be put across for all 4 screws. Since DVD player weighs minimal along with the shelf, 2 put firmly into stud will hold more than enough.
Kudos to you. You make it look easy. It would take me twice as long and I am sure it would be crooked. Good demo.

Can this shit support my Xbox if it’s only in one stif
Yeah I’d say it could support a vcr/ DVD player and Xbox on the little shed no problem, as that’s what I have on it now.
Can this shit support my Xbox if it’s only in one stud
yes, it currently has vcr and DVD player on it with no instability. I wouldn't hang on it, but it easily supports simple electronics boxes.
A DVD player looked better sitting on the mantle.. Lol
Doesnt it need to be on studs?
