We just purchased from the estate of a collector that has owned this car the last 33 years. It was restored in the late 80s and only 1,500 miles since. I have a pile of detailed restoration receipts from a professional company. It scored 952/1000 points awarding it a Gold Spinner.
EXTERIOR: I think the body has held up real well considering it was restored 33 years ago and it's black. The panels fit real nice, doors shut like new. Standing next to the car it is still very straight and has a mirror like finish. Upon inspection of the car you will find some minor flaws. Over all the chrome and trim are real bright and shiny. Up front the bumper, grill, everything is a 7 out of 10. The same thing in back. The stainless moldings down the sides are a 9 out of 10. White convertible top is still real nice, the frame is painted a smooth gloss black. It has the correct cloth wrapped rubber. We just replaced the power top motor.
INTERIOR: It's completely stock interior. The upholstery was replaced with the correct tri-color. The door panels were replaced with correct blue anodized inserts. The armrests, window cranks, handles and stainless scuff plates along the bottom are excellent. The carpet has been replaced. In front of me the dash is very nice looking. The metal is painted gloss black, trim is very good.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The motor compartment was restored to stock with the exception of an updated power brake booster and dual master cylinder. It also features factory power steering and a four barrel carb. The motor was completely rebuilt. It has stock valve covers, manifolds, air cleaner etc. Power steering hoses look recent. Everything looks tidy and clean. The metal surfaces are smooth and painted.

Beautiful 58! Another one of my all-time favorite cars. Chevy was a true American icon thru the 50s and 60s. Great find, and great presentation! No one presents these awesome cars like Volo! Kudos to you and the staff! And heartfelt congrats to the soon to be new owner of this beautiful 58l
P.S. I love that this Chevy is equipped with a 283. In my opinion one of the greatest motors ever turned out by G.M. I owned one years ago of this same era, and can honestly say that it was without a doubt the best motor I ever owned. LOVE the small block tone from this engine. This car is superb!
I agree it’s my favorite too. It use to be 57 Chevy But it doesn’t have the same lines as a 58

When I look at this beautiful 1958 Chevy I can't help but wonder how Ford sold any cars in 1958. I love the styling of the 59 Chevy as well.
Back in the early 80's I seen one od these in an old junkyard that was white with red interior and it was a 348 tri power just pushed off the side of a bank and someone had taken the carburetors off. Now these are high dollar vehicles.

beautiful impala one year body style
I think the Chevy's were the best looking of the 58's that GM produced. The problem I always saw with the 58's were that the front fenders rusted out right over the headlights. I've seen many rusted like that.
