  • Milwaukee Tool and Albion Engineering both make nearly identical caulk guns. Did you know there is one major design difference?
    Both tool manufacturers produce a great tool, but if you are in the sealant replacement business you will want to check out the Albion E12S20 if you are looking at an electric caulk gun.
    If you own a Milwaukee 2442-21, you can convert the piston assembly to the design that Albion uses. if that is something you are interested in, let me know in the comments, and I will make a video detailing how to do that.

    Glad someone made this video. Ive been wondering if there was any differences between the two or if the albion was just a rebranded milwaukee. I have the milwaukee and believe it or not, my only compliment is the plunger cup. That little #2 phillips screw on a few occasions has completely worked itself out resulting in the screw and cup falling out during reloads which could be a massive issue working in lifts.

    that's a very easy fix! The push rod handle can be cut so it go into the barrel another 1/4" push the out the remaining few ounces of material... This is much cheaper that the upcharge on the other gun

      That would very likely work. There is a switch at the back of the unit that is depressed by the handle and stops the rack from traveling too far. So long as you don't over trim the handle, it should work just fine.

    Whats the best way to clean the sausage gun and do you leave half used sausages in the gun for next time?

    • @Jsgoray
      @Jsgoray  Před měsícem +1

      Unless you pinch a sausage, you should not have to clean the gun much at all. The threads at the end of the barrel will get caulk on them, and that is easily cleaned up with solvent, a rag, or a wire brush. If you need to clean the barrel, you can purchase a barrel brush and use that along with solvent.
      You CAN leave a half-used sausage in the gun for later use, but it has diminishing returns. Our company will discard partially used sausages, as the risk of sealant failure is not worth the cost of a partial sausage to us.

    My biggest concern in the gun is gripfill tube doesn't fit 350ml it's about 1inc longer than standard tubes

      I cut the handle hook a1/4 inches and it does squeeze the sausage as the abion

      Just take the 350ml apart and put it on the electric gun i did that and it worked just fine you undo the bolt that holds the calor to the gun and put the 350ml shaft on there and put the plunger on the electric caul gun to you just take the screw off.

    What’s best cordless bulk gun ? Because Albion bulk gun cordless is heavy .

    • @Jsgoray
      @Jsgoray  Před rokem

      We like the albion/milwaukee cordless guns for both sausage and bulk. We mostly shoot sausages instead of bulk, but agree that the 18v guns are very heavy. We have converted most of ours to shoot sausages and only use them on ground level work to reduce strain on our techs at height.

      The 18v Milwaukee is the best I’ve used makita hilti and dewalt and the Milwaukee 18v is the best

    Why not just try and install the Albien rod assembly into the Milwaukee?

    • @Jsgoray
      @Jsgoray  Před rokem

      We plan to make a video showing how to do that if you already have a Milwaukee gun. You can order the piston kit (Part# 1004-10) from albion's website, but you have to call them to order the replacement rack, which is about 9/16" shorter than the Milwaukee part.

      I had to order a Milwaukee piston for my dewalt. Shooting a double bead with a long tip makes the foil go behind the piston in the winter rn. The dewalt piston is garbage
