- This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the Marvel Comics character "Omega Red." From Arkady Rossovich being a Russian soldier gone rouge, a mutant "healing factor" allowing him to survive his own execution, being put into and surviving a harsh process to become a Soviet "Super Soldier," temporarily being an operative for the Russian KGB and "The Hand" organization, capturing Wolverine and battling the X-Men while in search for his life-preserving "Carbonadium Synthesizer," continued conflicts with many other superhero teams like The Avengers leading to his repeated imprisonment within the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization, sometimes working with Sabretooth and Lady Deathstrike in his pursuit of Wolverine, becoming a part of a plan by Romulus to try and bring about the death of Wolverine, fighting and destroying his own partner "Wild Child" leading to his own demise by the "Muramasa Blade," to his being cloned as three separate members of the "Omega Clan" named Omega Black, Omega White, and a new Omega Red; Let's take a look at this Marvel supervillain, and powerful enemy of Wolverine and the X-Men. This includes a short, canon character biography and my own opinionated "Sage Rating," which I use to give ratings of comic books and science fiction characters.

Omega Red is one of my favorite X-Men villains. It's a shame that he was never in any of the X-Men movies.
He could be in the X23 film or X Force

The thing he was originally arrested for wasn't just being a serial killer. He also raped children. That turned out to be too dark even for edgy 90's marvel so he was shelved.

And another highly underutilize X-men villain. I swear the recent comics and other forms of media keeps treating some of Wolverine's foes like cannon fodder. yeah, would've been fun if Wolverine lost his healing factor permanently in a fight with Omega read, but I did enjoy Logan regardless.

Omega Red was by far one of my favorite Villains that fought the X-Men. Still have those Comics with him dealing with the X-Men when Jim Lee drew the Comics back in the 90s.

Omega Red was one of the few instances where the comics acknowledged the Soviet Union as a superpower in the development of super-humans. Too bad comics villains tend to fold like toilet paper once their stories near the end. Arkady was an awesome character and both his past and present really lent themselves to some great storylines.
I didn't even notice Omega Red in the background of Deadpool 2 prison scene. But so far, that's it.

He's the Russians' iteration of the "Weapon Plus" program... Which is the program that led to the many subsequent "Super Soldier" programs; Like Weapon X's Wolverine and also Cap. 👍
Theres a red gaurdian who is like Russian captain America. And crimson dynamo who's counterpart to iron man, and the abomination is kind of a Russian hulk

When I listen to Rob from Comics Explained try to explain this, my eyes go around and around in circles for a 26 minute video while i listen to him fckng RAMBLING and confusing the listener with total gibberish. He is all over the place and uses rubbish grammar. Yet the guy has 2million plus subscribers. He couldn't explain how to open a god damn tuna can without citing the history of fish since the dawn of time and then saying "what this does is it means the fish tastes like professor x's ass and what this does is blah blah blah and what this does is etc". With you however, you deliver it as one straight, clean 6 minute video. Clear, concise, answers what we want to know about the character. No extra unecessary fluff. And for that, you get a subscribe and a like.

Funny I remember when I first seen Ironman 2 I swear I thought it was Omega red at the beginning.cause he's Russian he had tentacles.and I was so mad cause cause Ironman fucked him up like nothing.then I thought wait it's whiplash duhhj forgot about that character.but man I want to see Omega red in a movie him and Mr sinister.After infinity is over.Him and sinister should be the next villians in the mcu even though there more X-Men villians.but still seeing Omega red on screen would be amazing he's ridiculously powerful.people can't even be near him without being infected he's walking death.if he strolled down NYC street people would just be dropping.now that's a villian that needs his 15mins

Eddie Brock I thought before Wolverine Origins came out, that Omega Red was going to be in it. The story line of the Carbonadium Synthesizer and all that. When the movie was released, I just could not believe what I watched. I am glad he wasn't in the show, as FOX would have ruined him, just like they did with Barakapool.

It would be amazing if they could get a Weapon X movie out of Wolverine in the MCU and pin him against these two, Lady Deathstrike, etc. Be even cooler if it was the new Wolverines debut. Make him earn the character. I'll watch a 3 hour Wolverine movie if that's what it takes to add everything into it.

Even though its not an xmen film, i was so blowed when mickey rouke wasn't Omega Red in the Iron Man film. I feel if they went that route that would have been one of the best marvel movies or at least marvel movie set ups for another film with Omega Red as a joining villain.
