When Magnus trades his valuable attacking piece, he is removing a defender of his opponent's king but when I do it I am a bozo.
When Magnus lets the knight get to b4, it gets lost in the position. When I let it get to b4, it eats all my pawns and then I get forked and lose my queen.

Honestly Ding doesn't need to start winning to make ppl believe him because everyone thinks he might lose his title so all he has to do is defend it. I mean, if he's burnt out from chess, he shouldn't try to win everything, he should just try to defend his title (else he'll certainly burn out). Ofc, maybe Ding wants to lose his title if he's really hoping to quit chess.

The Grenke Open and Classic was a magnificent Tournament. I was there playing the c-open (c is for chaos :D) while watching the classic that happened at the same time in parallel. If you have the chance come by next year.

I think this is the kind of chess we need to see for the WCC. A “fast” classical game could be a compromise to a more marketable game while keeping the same quality and similar length of game seen previously with the 90 min format. Then, a transition to tie breaker rapid wouldn’t be such a huge jump in time controls
